Burufokkusu
I am looking at getting a new graphics card as mine is becoming more and more outdated and it is a power sucker using 700 watts of power.... If you want to know it is an EVGA 460 2win. What I am looking at purchasing is either a 650 TI Boost. But I am looking at two different types of the EVGA GTX 650 TI Boost. The first one here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130909 And the second here. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130841 As you can see they are basically the same but one has less clock speed than the other but more memory interface and my question to you techy people out there is which is better the higher clock speed or the higher memory interface? Please help!!! EDIT: Or if anybody has any other suggestions on what card might suit me I'm open to suggestions. I would prefer to stay with NVida but it is not mandatory. I do have an AMD Phenon II x64 six core 3.4 GHZ processor and 8 gigs of ddr3 ram. Edited May 9, 2013 by Burufokkusu

PaleMinerva
All else being equal, the one with the 192-bit memory bus is the superior option - much higher memory bandwidth. You can always tweak the clock speeds higher if you need to. What's your budget? What do you prefer? AMD/ATI or Nvidia? Do you want Crossfire / SLI? He knows what he wants. All he needs is help in making a decision.

I could name some that are cheaper more powerful and more reliable than those.
Burufokkusu
Well my budget is around 200.... I much prefer Nvidia and no I don't crossfire/sli. I was also looking at this one as well the evga 660 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130825. It is a little more pricey with worse clock speeds but more cuda core. I know a bit about computers but when it comes to things like these being so close together I get a little confused on which is better and what the trade off will do to the performance.... Mainly will be used for gamming.

PaleMinerva
The clock speeds on the cards basically don't matter. Especially with Nvidia's latest offerings, you can generally clock them up to around the next tier card through MSI Afterburner. Just need to make sure you know EXACTLY what you're doing if you decide to OC.
Burufokkusu
Or would it be better to save more money and go for a more expensive card possible the 670? Or maybe a 660 TI SC?
VER1
The difference in performance between the two based on clock speed will be negligible. Going for the higher memory bandwidth is the way to go. This game in it's current state is not demanding at all until it comes to being the host from what I have noticed and even then still not that heavy on the system. Or would it be better to save more money and go for a more expensive card possible the 670? Or maybe a 660 TI SC? A GTX 660Ti or even a 660 would be enough. And yes clock speed does not matter. I currently run an HD7870 Ghz edition (GTX660 is the nVidia equivalent). Handles games at 1080p absolutely fine. Burufokkusu
I have OCed cards before just not my current one as it gets quite hot due to the massive power consumption it uses and I don't want it to be overheating.

Afroman12
This card is pretty good and at 200 bucks. I'll update with more as I find. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4501133&CatId=28'>EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Was shopping on Frys and boy is their selection crap now... so now I'll go to Newegg and look. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130841'>This one was the second one you listed and a very good deal at this moment so I'd have to recommand this one from Newegg. So it comes down to price now. If you want to spend the full amount take the 660. If not then the 650 TI. Edited May 9, 2013 by BakaGamer
ArcSynder
Generally I actually end up recommending the 650 TI. It's really good performance for the dollar, since past that point you generally start paying a premium. Of course, in the end it all comes down to seeing if you can find the perfect deal. I'm currently sporting a 7970 that I managed to get for only $250.
Tackle2
The only problem with getting a more expensive card is the fact that It will more likely than not, be bottlenecked by the Phenom II cpu. Anything in today's $200 range should suit that pc very well. The only way to get the proper performance with more expensive cards is to upgrade the cpu and or switch to an newer intel socket with an i5 or i7. This is the gpu that I am currently running with my Phenom II x4 and I am enjoying it very much. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202025 Edited May 9, 2013 by Tackle2
