Kohm Fire Rate Increased 16.0?

Yup, seems like the Kohm got nerfed. Before the update I could hit 1-3k per pellet and now its around 300-500. Also, the Kohm is hitscan now.

 

I'm fine with the Synoid nerf, but they didn't even mention touching my Kohm. :(

Kohm is now hitscan, fires I think 10 pellets instead of 5, damage fall off, goes though ammo faster, and a faster fire rate.  This V3 of the weapon makes it rather similar to the original V1 of the gun.  There is another post or two about it somewhere.

I think you mean Pre-Nerf. Kohm 1.0 was insanely powerful and could crank out more damage than Kohm 2.0, you just needed to use Shotgun Scav and Shotgun Ammo Mutation to keep it happy. When the Kohm was launched, it became my primary weapon for most frames because I was one of the people who know how to overcome the ammo consumption issue without the Devs "fixes". I saw a significant loss in damage when they started the 2.X iterations. I dropped from doing 50-70% of the Total Damage Dealt down to 30-40% in T4 missions.

The current stats are closer to it's launch stats. I've been using it all night and this morning and I'm noticing that I'm doing more damage than Kohm 2.0, probably anywhere a huge amount more, but I'm definitely not seeing a loss in damage. I've heard that someone calculated the numbers and confirmed that it does more damage now than the Kohm 2.0, but I don't have a link to that since the person I heard it from didn't provide one. But at this point, I don't personally care if I'm doing more damage or not since it does plenty of damage, I just like that they fixed my complaints about 2.0 and I think it's a fun weapon again.

Nice to see people being positive about the change. To be honest, while the hitscan gives it dropoff, it also somehow makes it 'feel' better, compared to the slow projectiles it used to shoot. Don't really like the increased consumption, but I can deal with it. 

I am mostly just relieved that the Kohm didn't get nerfed to the point of it being bad.

most complaints aren't about the damage itself, imho, the kohm is still as viable as before, maybe even better, damage wise.

the mechanics are what was rqdically altered... from projectile with ricochet to hitscan (what about punchthrough? any news on that?)

the only real complaint i could voice is information policy... but that was never to the likings of most statistics and numbers freaks.

Punchthrough is still there, don't you worry about that.

Im exceptionaly fine with the kohm nerf. That thing should be nerfed more. It was OP for a auto shotgun.

Now you can alll go play with the strun or the sobek.
