Exactly How Does Chroma's Effigy Skill Buff Allies?

I don't understand how does Effigy buff allies. Is it just some bit of misinformation from the ability's descrption?

It gives a bonus to the credit drops of enemies it kills, but that's about it.

 

[EDIT] I checked for accuracy. The credit bonus is the only "buff" it gives, and it has to do the killing for that to work.

Yea I haven't noticed any team buffing from this either. There is also a supposed credit booster when he is active and I'm not sure how that works either.

Effigy increases the chance of credit drops if he does kill enemies.

It also have an credit multiplier, which isn't really high tbh.

Didn't DE patch out the credit multiplier thing?
