Absolutely Terrible Framerates With 4Gb Gtx 680M. Fire Rates Sabotaged By Low Framerate.

I'm getting an average of 5 FPS on a GTX 680m. This laptop runs Crysis 2 at 60 FPS, so I should have more than enough power to run Warframe at at least 80 FPS. Also, My fire rates and melee attack rates won't go any faster than my framerate. 

So yeah, that sucks.

I had a problem with frame rate at first. Turned on Anti Aliasing and poof. They were gone. Keep in mind that I have no idea why that worked. But it's what the google boxes told me to do.

I'm not familiar with the structure of Nvidia's control panel software, but I've seen one or two other people with this issue, and apparently the game isn't running on the 680M GPU, it's using the integrated Intel GPU. Something to do with Optimus? Just an idea for something to look into. Wish I could be more help.

My drivers are already updated and I've made sure that the game i running on the 680, not the intel HD chip. The issue seems to happen more often in online mode.

Game is atm very CPU intensive it might not even be your GPU.

What CPU do you have?

I'll try running warframe later today on my own laptop:

 

CPU: i7-3632QM (8 thread, 4core @ 3.4GHz)

Mem: 8GB 1333MHz

GPU: NVidia GT555M (1.5GB)

 

I'll post the results once I know more.

My system is a similar set up.

 

Sager NP9170
i7-3610QM
16 GB of memory at 1600MHz
Nvidia GTX 670M.

Runs flawlessly on that.
