Eclips: Lips of fate

The bottom floor of the colony was a giant lake, the two floors bellow were coated like a battlefield, the floor was smeared with blood stains and bullet shells covering the streets like a sea. The surrounding streets were filled with destroyed walkers and murdered Corps troopers, but the civilians were nowhere in sight. Volt and Frost walked along the streets searching for answers. Several other still working walkers were mumbling something they didn't understand. The doors of the street were barricaded from the inside.

"You think our survivors could be in any of these?"

"I'd rather want to know what happened here. The gates were sealed shut, what were they fighting?"

"That would be something worth our interest."

Volt noticed a a single open door in the whole floor, it was down an ally leading to security post, the door had several bullet holes in it, there seemed to be something worth investigating. Frost left him to take a look inside, while he investigated several corpses nearby. Volt pushed the door aside to open a larger gap so he could enter, inside there was a surveillance room. A dead soldier lied in the chair behind the screens.

Ash and X, searched the top floors, there was a bridge connecting the centerpiece of the colony with the surounding floors that lead out to a street that was like a balcony. They met up there after searhing the buildings around them.

"Anything?"

Ash shock his head, there wasn't a single life form around. The pillar rising from the lake was distributing water through the entire colony. There was also a small park hanging in the bridge, in the middle was a computer for the distribution controls around the city. Excalibur examined the consol system, it was hacked from within the lower reaches of the colony, someone intentionally wanted for the water to stay bellow. He also noticed a strange new composite in the water, a neuro agent. One that would turn normal people to mindless slaves. It was incredibly potent and effective, strong enough to effect the tenno suits. The Corps were known for dedication to technology, but this was something new.

"What happened?"

The constructed park, hanging in the middle of the hive colony was a short stop before they continued to the next floor. After the two left a floating droid of corps technology floated out of the growth and flew off with a red glow in its eye's.

Down bellow, in the streets littered by moa pieces and corps crewmen, Frost noticed an indentation on the wall, it was a scratch from a blade, the cut was partially destroyed by a bullet that had damaged the wall upon it, further on the nearby wall of a house he noticed a second cut, this time in a downward direction. he returned to the street where Volt went to investigate the security post. Inside he saw him before a screen watching the recorded footage.

"Did you find anything?"

"Yeah come take a look."

Volt closed the current file and drew back through the archive of the security tapes, to a record of the cameras.

"This is a few weeks old."

The streets were alive and filled with people, the footage showed the civilians socializing and children playing. Then Volt closed the footage and shifted through the files to a more recent date.

"This is only a week old."

The recording showed a war in the streets, moa units began attacking crewmen and other civilians, the city was in panic. A camera of the main gate showed evacuation of the top floors. The lower rings were a front to hold off the mechanized units while the ones that lived there sealed themselves in. The soldiers fought off the enemy while several groups of inhabitants moved to hide in the lower rings. Two of which were wearing some cloth covering they're entire body.

"This is a recording of three days ago."

The baricades were left untouched as the humans were dragged through the windows out of they're homes, and forced to follow the moas to an elevator leading down to the bottom of the facility. The colony was deprived of life.

"How did this happen, the walkers are just machines."

"Someone took control of them, we need to find out where the civilians were taken."

The two left the post heading for the elevator that was used by the moa to drag away the survivors. Beneath them the lake was the final floor, yet on the ring above it Volt noticed a gate leading deeper into the rock beyond the hive shaped colony. This must have been where the walkers had taken the survivors.

"X come in, do you read me?"

"What is it captain?"

"The rest of the floors are empty you don’t need to bother with them, get down here I think we found where the message was coming from."

After receiving the transmission Ash and Excalibur soon descended to the floor bellow to meet up with Volt and Frost. The gate was thick and required them to hack the controls before entering, this was quit the ominous place. Compared to the fresh and refreshing paradise on the upper floors the bottom ring was just a street surrounded by a few factories and a stone wall. The giant metal plated door was slowly dragging as the hacking was finished. The hall behind it soon began to light up and push away the darkness. The corridor extended deep into the ground, along the walls there were doors leading to facilities locked behind other control panels.

"How much time do we have?"

"We've been here for over an hour, we can't waist too much time searching."

Excalibur answered to Volts question. They knew that the trip back would take at the least a half an hour so they were in a squeeze for time. Spreading out Frost and Volt began searching the walls for any markings while Ash and X rushed to the end of the corridor to decode the door access. Frost noticed a few other markings of cuts on the wall, it was like a hint showing a path. Volt searched the floor for markings, the drag marks of the people forced down here were leading to the farther end of the construct.

"Volt!"

Frost called him to a door further by the left wall. It had a cross scratched in the top corner of the metal.

"There were other markings along the walls, slash's cut by blades. Someone who wanted to mark a path maybe."

"I guess there’s only one way to find out."

Volt began hacking the panel to gain access to the gates security system. Once he had the code cracked he opened the path leading to a dark room. Inside they found piping of the lake passing through the floor and into containers.

"Seems to be a filtering station for the lake..."

Volt stepped in as he gazed at the dark room, he could see broken lights above him. When he turned forth there was a blade edge flying straight at him, the sword slammed against Frosts claw as he jumped in to help. Before them stood a tenno with a horn like structure peering out of its helm creating a loop and going back into the back of the head. The tenno that stood before them was a female. She quickly jumped back from them, questioning with shock.

"Frost, is that you?"

"Nyx, why are you here?"

"I suppose I can explain that."

A female voice echoed through the dark room, as a white figure walked out of the shadows. It was girl with a white helm covering her eyes, and a white long robe running down her body. The robe fell from her shoulders gracefully outlining her body.

"LOTUS!"

Volt yelled as he gripped his blade.

Volt jumped back drawing his blade, preparing for a fight he stood near the door behind him, while Frost and the tenno with Lotus stood back.

"So this is just another trap?"

Frost stood forth between them, he blocked Volts sight from the two.

"Please listen, she isn't the one you call Lotus."

Volt stared at the two behind him, the white female did share several traits with the Black Lotus, but at the same she was different from her. Nyx was holding back behind Frosts figure and slowly sheathed her blade back to her back.

"The sword is gone so please listen to him."

Volt gazed at the one he held friend for the past journey through the Centuri system. He was willing to protect the two behind him at all cost, after a few seconds standing off, he agreed to listen to they're story.

"Nyx and I are friends, and that is not the one you call Lotus. She is Orchid; the handler of a separate branch of tenno's she is our assistant."

"Then why do they share the appearance?"

"That would be because the one you call Lotus is my older sister."

The girl in white stepped forth explaining the situation for herself.

"Then why are you here? Handlers are meant to always stay on the ship."

"We were on an important mission."

Nyx began explaining the details pushing Frost to the side.

"Why didn’t I know anything about this?"

Frost asked her.

"You were gone for far to long, we thought you were dead. Though now I'm glad I was wrong... don’t scare us like that again. As I said we were on a recognizance mission, after infiltrating a Corps transporter we arrived here to meet an important ally. He was under long term undercover infiltrating the Corps till he arrived here and demanded to meet face to face with Orchid. I was placed as her guard due to my mind related ability's, we avoided detection and entered the city. Once here we slowly arranged a meeting in the colony."

Volt slowly began to lower his blade.

"Who was this Informer?"

"Demenus Shurk, a former member of the Tenno group, he was the creator of the first suits."

Volt retracted his sword pushing it back to the small gap on his shoulder, created for it.

"I believe you, Shurk was the one that brought me to the Tenno's, where is he now?"

"He fought back during the cataclysm but we don’t know what became of him. It was thanks to his tools that we could hide here."

Frost turned to Volt.

"Are we all clear now?"

"For now... What information did he have?"

Ash and Excalibur were working through each door till X opened a room with further corridor. Going deeper alone to investigate he found a construction facility for Moa, but where he stood was just near the entrance and it was the final construction process. With the small hall continuing he chose to go further. The factory was constructed of four rooms, The one he just saw was the finishing of the fabrication, assembly, the parts would come from box's and conveyers connecting and welding before moving to the last room. Following the path to the room before it he found that the parts were constructed from organic fluids, melted organic silicon, that would also place some kind of brain on the construction line to be covered by the electronics and the silicon to be made to the head of moas and the legs used a similar process filling a mold with the silicon. Beyond that, there was one more room, with all of this, he expected to find storage. But as he stepped forth gazing around the corner, bellow in the room before him. There was a man on the conveyer, he was slowly moved forth to small container that had several mechanic pieces moving within it. The man was drowsy and trying to awaken from a slumber. As he gazed up at the window seeing the figure of a tenno above him he slowly drifted down to see where he was. As soon as he saw himself strapped to the conveyor he began screaming and yelling.

"No, please no!!! Stop this thing!!!"

X watched the man scream as he was moving the controls before him were the only method to stop it. As he rushed to them, the consol was locked and whatever he did had no results, without being able to find the method to turn it all off he looked at the man who was already slowly entering the box before him. With this person being the only solution he pulled out his blade and stabbed it into the machne before him. Once the consol was broke it all stopped but the scream of the man echoed through the rooms. X was unable to aid him, the human trapped on the conveyer was silence, with a small track of blood flowing along the edge of the machinery. He looked closer at the factory, one stage, one room at a time and the sickening truth caught him. It was inhuman and simply insane. He quickly rushed out of the hall closing it behind him. Ash turned to see the warrior breathing deeply, he couldn't speak a word.

"T...the...they..."

Ash tried to help him, but X asked to be left alone.

Back at the water processing room, Nyx and Orchid were finishing the explanation to Volt. Once it was over he finally understood.

"So he knew... very well, let’s hurry, we don’t have much time left."

The group agreed and they all left the dark damp room behind. Volt sent a message to the other two that it was time to leave. Once they received the two were ready to move but the gashing of machine came from the end of the corridor that they stood in, the giant hall echoed in bashing footsteps that sounded familiar to X. An explosion came from the gate at the end of the corridor, knocking it down. The bang of its fall choked trembling the entire colony above. A great fall of a mechanical bang soon followed it. As the two tennos at the end of the hall closest to it gazed to the source of the sound. Upon the knocked down gate stood a machine with four legs, it was a Hyena model constructed by the Corps, its size was twice that of the one X had faced before.

Next to it stepped forth several military moas, the walkers were in different color and size patterns wielding all types of weaponry. Several floating observers loomed over them. one of the smaller moas ran forth falling from the gate, its repeated patterns of words said "Don’t shoot the legs." the Hyena turned to the small moa and began shooting at it. Once the runt was silence he turned the attention to the tennos.

"We are Hive, we are Legion."

"Volt I suggest you run."

"We'll meet you at the lake, get out of there!"

X jumped back to the hall of the Moa constructions, Ash followed him closing the door. He quickly broke the glass to the first room of the facility, with the gap in the glass all of the finalized moas began to activate, marching to the front shooting at them. Ash phase shifted trading places with one of them leaving the sacrificial sheep to be stabbed by X. After his blade was thrusted to the walker that now stood in front of him, Excalibur turned to the door that was opened, a small moa unit was standing before him, after pushing the dead droid into it, through the door X threw a few grenades out to the hall to cause some misdirection. After he was out of sighed he jumped through the shattered glass landing in the finalization room where Ash had already sliced them to bits. To avoid the droids assaults they had to run to the storage room of the prepared moas. The walkers stood there with the rest of the droids ready to move out, this was how they protected they're ships, with a limitless supply of droids to teleport to they're need at any time. While they rushed through the giant chamber filled with the moas they started coming to life. Constantly repeating "We are Hive, we are Legion".

The two finally found a door leading out of the room, with their blades in hand they sliced the steel away and rushed through it. They were in the armory of the crewmen of the Corps. Grabbing a few explosives they both broke through the door leading to the hall. The machines were several feet behind them. The two fixated the explosives around the halls rim and rushed away to the exit after the others. Once the constructions were at the door near the explosives, Ash shot out one of his needles binning a grenade and setting off a chain reaction detonating the hall. As several tons fell down to the robots beneath it, the observers dodged it and flew ahead, while Hyena shielded several moas from the damage, destroying its own shields, shaking off the gravel it soon followed them. As the pair reached the gate they jumped to the rim running across water, whilst Volt and Frost were waiting just outside the door with the guns ready to fire. Shooting several shots at the floaters they soon sent down cashing and exploding to the ground. The smaller moas soon charged through, they're size made it easier to run past the ruble covered hall. Once they were in sight the two opened a barrage of bullets shattering the walkers hips connecting they're legs. They fell fast but soon the large Hyena broke past the gate, forcing them to retreat.

"X, Ash get Nyx and Orchid out of here at all costs."

Volt yelled through the intercom avoiding the giant creatures attacks. They began luring the beast into the lake, to use the waters conductivity. Throwing the empty guns aside they could only rely on their melee weapons. By outmaneuvering the Hyena they forced it to leap over the ridge of the ring, into the water bellow. It began shooting waves of rockets to erase the two. Volt took running at the edge of the floor jumping from the ridge into the air. the Rockets flying at him were the perfect stepping stones. Kicking them away to break the stones, he began shooting bolts of electricity forcing the Hyena to suffer the shocks. Once he landed across the lake by the help of the rockets, Frost began freezing the container of fluid, locking the robot in place. Once it was frozen solid they had time to retreat to the floor above.

During their escape Ash and Excalibur tried opening the gates of the colony, to escape through them. Yet the computers were fizzling out and unable to bypass the lockdown. Filled with frustration X pulled out his blade and stabbed the controls. After an immediate system breakdown the circuit crashed and the gates began to pull open.

"Huh... Corps tech..."

X mumbled as they rushed outside, Stopping right outside the gate Nyx began to call them back.

"Wait, its almost sunrise, the blazing sun rays would burn through our shields in minuets but Orchid would burn in a matter of seconds."

"Do you suggest we wait here then till there’s a solar eclipse or night time?"

Nyx's and Excalibur’s quarrel was quickly interrupted by a metal tapping sound, Ash was banging on one of the vehicles left at the side of the gate. Within a few minutes they bypassed the lock and broke into the tanker. Shielded from temperature it would be the safest way to reach the ship. X gazed at the nearby vehicle and told them to get ready to move any minuet. He jumped behind the controls of the machine and drove it n a line straight outside the gates. The two falling behind were just a few jumps away from reaching the colony's gate. Once they leaped to the floor separating them from freedom the Hyena finally broke through out of the ice, bending down a bit the mechanical menace leaped up propelling itself by thrusters built into its chassy, it flew to the floor where the two tennos were. X saw them finally reach the top floor and rush for the gate, Behind them beyond the rim of the ring shaped floor the Hyena rose charging a plasma cannon aiming at them, that was the moment that upon sight he thruster the controls accelerating the vehicle and rushing through the gates. As Frost and Volt jumped out of the way, Excalibur fixated the controls and jumped out, The car broke through the streets, ramming the ridge and flying straight at the giant robot in the air. As it slammed the beast forcing it back, the cannon was knocked of course and shot hitting the bridge holding the park above the hive. As it crumbled down, the Hyena crashed into the lake exploding with the vehicle and buried under the parks remains.

The group rushed back to the machine they hijacked from the abandoned colony and rushed out of the cave. As they turned away to the side to follow the cavern they dove through the rays already breaching into the valley and slammed into the metal covered rock side. With full thrust the drove through the cliffs straight to the ship. Slamming the breaks they stopped a few feet beyond the ship and began rushing out of the car. The star light was already covering the nose of the ship and they were in a bind for time.

"Orchid won’t make it!"

Nyx screamed as they ran for the ship, Loki opened the doors and called them over, then phase shifting with the girl in white to send her straight to the ship. After that the others ran to the entrance and once all were in Loki closed the hatch.

"Ember, now!

The ship began thrusting and flew out of the caverns, Ember couldn't hold the blazing heat away for much longer, as the pierced the clouds the ship ascended to space and the void froze the heat away, saving her from overexertion. Once finally out of there the group gathered to the control room. With Rhino still out of commition and Orchid and the child on board they had to find a stable solution.

"The Orders curser we saw must be abandoned or infected. We don't know the situation there, but at all means we are taking that ship."

As they approached the ship, Loki tried to hack the frequency and open the hanger from outside. His attempt was met with a quick response from the automated defense system. Ember took control of the ship avoiding fire, Nyx took the handler and the child to a room safer from the mayhem. As they avoided the shots the ships axis changed many times beginning to effect the gravitational field of the ship.

"Hold it still!"

Loki screamed as he tried to make heads and tails of the security system.

"Maybe you want to switch jobs!"

Ember yelled at him while dodging the cannons of the ship.

"Just go straight for the hanger!"

"What!?"

"If you screw up, you better hope the cannons shred us before I reach you!"

Frost threatened Loki for throwing such an insane plan. As they dove for the hanger doors they remained locked. The ship was under constant fire, as the door began to open the ship straightened out diving inside, slamming to the floor and gliding along it. Pinning and crushing several infected.

"Ladies and gentlemen welcome aboard infestation central. Don't forget to prepare a fresh pair of your unmentionables."

"I'll kill you one day..."

Embers amusement to Lokis jokes was running low. As the door opened and they walked out to the hanger, the doors behind them had already closed. They arrived to the tenno cruiser, that had been overrun by the infestation. As Excalibur walked off the ship he saw several infected crew members of the ship pinned to the wall of the room by the ships wing. The path that it glided on was both covered in blood and metal scrapings. The ship was silent, the hangers door opening must have sucked out the other infected in the area. Once all the tenno units had gathered they began deciding who would stay and guard the ship whilst the others cleansed the vessel. Excalibur volunteered to stay behind, ever since the hive facility he was a bit out of place. With one decided, the group chose Loki to remain behind in a unanimous voting.

"Why me?"

"Most of us don't want to trust our lives to you. Your capable but you could have killed us back there."

Frost explained to him as the rest began preparing to move out.

"But we got in safe and sound."

"Take a second look at the ship..."

"I mean yeah, but we're here to take this ship does it matter?"

Ember shook her head, doubting that he was able to accept his mistakes. After the chat, the group split up into three: Frost went with Nyx, they're target was to clean the engine room and get it back online. Ash took off alone to secure the bridge and restore control and communications. Whilst Volt and Ember would sweep through the living quarters.

Ash reached his goal first, moving along the docks made his job much easier. Once he was free to exit he quickly dealt with the few infected body's around hm. The majority of infected were ether boomers or walkers. There was little threat to him as they were bad at fighting, he didn't need more then a few seconds to get rid of them. Once they were dealt with he waited for the engine to be repaired.

Frost and Nyx had a short run to the engine room, it was just a few halls away on a floor bellow. They reached the elevator without any contacts. Whilst on their way down they had a slight talk.

"When were you gonna tell me you were alive?"

"I was trapped on a frozen waste land for three weeks, why are you so harsh about it?"

"We were there for just a week, when the madness started in such a peaceful colony I thought that you'd be dead by now. And then I find that you’re not only alive but found a new team?"

"They crashed in the same planet, if it wasn't for them I'd still be there and you'd still be in that city!"

"And how much do you know about them?"

"You heard it yourself, Black Lotus has gone rouge, she sold out her own team and as far as we know she's been playing the whole order for fools. They got as much right to be mad about this as us..."

While the two quarreled the infected became attracted to they're voice rushing to them at the thought of food. A meal that had arrived to them on a platter. As soon as the doors opened the two were trapped in a room with several infected crewmen of the ship they were on. Nyx used her mind control ability forcing two of them to work for her killing and slashing away the others. As they shred the infected, Frost froze them shooting his pistol to shatter the two.

"Why do you always act this way?"

"Why are you defending them, he almost killed Orchid."

"He thought she was Lotus, come on already Lotus and Orchid are sisters anyway, how can you not noticed the resemblance."

"What resemblance, they're wearing a helm..."

"And so are we... I know you hate that suit sometimes, but don’t forget why we chose this."

Nyx shook her head and walked on to restart the engine, Frost sighed following after her. Volt continued through the halls shooting each infected in the head one by one. The live infestation was quickly depleting, Ember questioned him along the way, while opening rooms and killing the infested inside.

"These are way to easy."

"Well they are simple crew members, only specialists in a subjected field not in combat."

"Yeah, by the way did something happen in the colony?"

"I don’t know, why do you ask?"

"It’s about X, he's been kind of different then I remember him."

"We entered a colony, there was a factory down bellow, we rescued those two and were attacked by a giant Hyena model. Aside that I don’t know what could have happened I wasn't with him. You might have better luck asking Ash, though I know it sounds more like a suggestion from Loki then a solution."

"Yeah, your Loki is a rather weird one..."

"He is sarcastic but after what happened to him, I can't blame the guy."

"Why? what happened?"

"I promised not to share that with anyone. Just leave it to be his little secret, we all have them."

Whilst the living quarters were finishing up the power quickly came back on, and all the doors sled open. With a shot of Volts bolt and Embers fire blast the hoard of infected from the rooms was quickly knocked down. It took but a few seconds for Ash to restore functionality back to the ship. Once all was back operational he tapped the radio transmitter three times sending out an announcement through the ship. Soon transmitting a full view of the infestation signals through the ship, he sent a picture of particular room to Volt. It was tad further from the living quarters, but it was emitting a different life signal then the infected. The two followed the lead sent to them and went to investigate. The room was sealed from within and wouldn't open, ember began hacking the consol when the transmission of life signals from the infected began to drop rapidly.

"Ash is that you killing these guys?"

"No, It’s us! They began swarming the hangar we are a bit at a disadvantage here."

"Wait a bit longer, Nyx and Frost should be on they're way back."

"We can't the infestations hive is in the engine if we leave they'll blow this ship apart."

"How is this possible they're not that strong."

"The ancients are on board."

"How did those carriers get on this ship?"

The door opened before Ember was done hacking, in the room there were five people: two engineers, a medic and two pilots.

"They came in a shipment from Lotus."

One of the Pilots answered as she was at the door, the one who opened it. Aside from her and one of the engineers the rest of the crew were all men. Volt left Ember in charge of taking care of the survivor and rushed back to the hanger. Along the way he found several infected bodies, he cut them down following the path back to the hanger, Ash was near the entrance slicing down the infestation. When he rushed through the door in the hanger there was a giant creature corrupted by the infestation.

"That’s no mere ancient..."

"The codex say's that its the Ancient Goliath."

The creature in the hanger was twice the size of the ship that they piloted. The monstrous abomination was supporting its weight with the front paws that had extending blade like nails, growing out of them. The beast stood on two back legs, which were shot by the ships turrets, pustule growth covered the entire body, it had several growths extending out of its body that resembled human hands. The beast opened it jaws letting loss a scream spitting out clouds of small insect like carriers of the infection. Excalibur closed the small ships latch to stop them from breaching inside. The handler Orchid and Rhino with the child were locked in a separate room on the ship to protect them. Loki held a shotgun he pulled out from the remains of the hangers guard post. The ships turrets were out of ammunition and X had to restock them from within to activate the turrets again. While he rushed to fix it, Volt and the other tried to hold the creature away from the ship. As Ash approached its paws the nails swiped along the floor, forcing him into the air avoiding the hit, but the beast soon slammed his paw to the ground knocking him back, Loki began to push it back with the shotguns blasts, but after it hit the pustule growths around it, it broke open releasing a batch of small insect like crawlers. Volt released a shock killing them before they fell to the ground, Ash leaped over him slashing the chest of the beast. Once wounded the cavities began to break and several infected fell out of the creature. The infected beasts, charged them with great speed and force, blasting them away Loki unloaded the remaining ammo in the shotgun before pulling his blades. Unsheathing dual swords he began slicing the beasts legs away.

"MOVE!!!"

Excalibur screamed as he finished loading the ammo to the turrets. The ship began unloading the full load pushing the beast back and shredding one of its paws and leg. The giant beast fell to its knees, screaming in pain, but the turrets finally jammed as the small flying bugs began to crawl around them.

"Damn it, hold it off while I open the gates!"

Ash and Loki could finally concentrate on the creature’s body, to possibly kill it. But the beast pushed itself up and slammed the ground beneath it, the punch was strong enough to bend the entire floor of the hanger, knocking the three tennos off balance. Ash, landed at the side of the room, after being knocked straight into the wall. Loki fell to the ground near the creature as he was on the ground, the beast placed his claw upon him beginning to press down. Volt began shooting at the creatures face with little less harm then actually enraging it. The beast roared as he jumped preparing to crush the tenno.

"NOW!"

X opened the hangers doors to the void beyond, outside the carrier, the Goliath was getting pulled out of the ship together with the swarm of insects it spat out. Ash gripped to the wall holding back from the force of the suction. The ships security systems quickly isolated them, and the ship itself was slowly being pulled outside. Volt gripped his blade slamming it into the ground.

"Loki!!!"

As soon as the beast was pulled away, the twin horned tenno could finally stab his blade into the ground, he was still slowly pulled to the gate. As soon as the ancient beast was outside in space, they could see it being pulled away from them by the void. Volt shot out a last shot at it, which triggered the automated defense system, that began shredding the beast to pieces. X finally closed the gate once they were free of the infected creature. Once the pressure inside was restored, the ship was left in the middle of the hanger, with a few crates at its side. Most of the machinery was sucked out to the void and the tenno were safe, yet exhausted.

The doors began to open, as the rooms security system was shut down. Nyx and Frost were returning from the engine room, they were covered in infected remains and out of bullets. Ember quickly contacted them through the ships communication system.

"The ship is safe, all infected have been eradicated."

"Hopefully that’s the last we'll see of that thing."

Volt wished as the goliaths were known to be spawned no bigger than a moa, but to grow by feeding on the rest of the infected to become a living hive for the crawlers and other insect like infected. X opened the hatch, walking down to the misshapen floor of the hanger.

"Frost, Nyx, take Orchid and the child to the living quarters, then go take a rest."

"What about Rhino?"

"We'll get a lift to move him, that armor is too heavy to carry across the entire ship."

After a short talk Volt and X found a working lift, which was a simple floating platform near the hanger and took Rhino to the infirmary across the ship. Loki and Ash followed the others to the Control room. The few survivors explained that the infection began after they picked up a cargo near the planet Okara a few weeks ago, it showed on the scans of the ship but they couldn't locate it, after the shipment they arrived here to pick up Nyx and Orchid, yet the infestation broke through and all were overwhelmed. The five of them hid in the room for the past three days without any food. They managed to pull out till the tenno arrived and then they were saved. The five explained what they're positions were. The two engineers were crewmen, they were specialists on repair of the system that was reporting the infection. Several other crew members escaped with emergency pods yet they were probably lost in space. The pilots were both experienced control operators, they worked under the captain who took up arms with several of the guards probably descending into the depts. of the ship. The doctor was already in the infirmary taking care of Rhinos condition.

Volt ordered one of the pilots to search the system space for any emergency ships still alive. While they were to plan they're next steps in the fight against the order.

The space warped an through the light of the hole in space and time came forth a ship. The tenno squadron had arrived to a new sector. It has been a week since they boarded and exterminated the infection, the group gathered all survivors, no man to be left behind. Leaving no trace of their existence in the Centuri space. The ship that they were on now contained several tons of materials they gathered from the graves and over two hundred crew members, which was a fraction of the people who worked on the chip. They spent several day's fixing and cleaning the ship to eradicate all traces of the infestation. The newly appointed captain was a girl, the one they found in the room aboard the ship, the other pilot became vice-captain, Rhino was under constant care by the medics since day one. Orchid spent her days in the operation room while the girl they rescued from the frozen colony lived as a child aboard the ship. She grew accustom of the tenno's and soon became friends with them. While Frost and Nyx, were constantly together working on something. Volt, Loki, Ash and Excalibur never stopped training. The child would sometimes watch them with Ember before following her to the shooting range. Loki spent most of his days in the foundry working on new guns, though he had little luck. In the new space system that they had arrived in, they were slowly moving to a farther reach, away from Black Lotus to avoid them for the time being. They needed a way to fight back the one she called Anubis. The Barnard star system was they're new location for now. The space held only two planets. One was beginning to leave the star space and slowly fading to become an exo planet drifting in between stars. Yet the other one was already terraformed and fitted for proper habitat colonization. The tenno began to gather to the operation room where Orchid was seated. This was a new step forward to them, and a step further from the order.

"So what now, we just keep running?"

Ember grunted as she looked at Volt.

"No, we need to find a way to grow our forces and strike back."

"You saw that dark frame yourself, the two of you could barely hold it off. How can we possibly oppose Lotus and her forces?"

"There are ways, but before that we need to find more tennos, preferably those who are yet to awaken. Then we need our old colleagues back, and to find several people."

"People? like who?"

Nyx questioned the response given by the temporary leader. Orchid activated the hologram projector showing several files of scientists and specialists.

"These are only a few of the possible candidates we have currently, but the one we need now is this man."

She quickly pulled up a file with a picture of an old man, he had a cybernetic implant for an eye. The man was described as a specialist of classified field.

"Who is this?"

"This is Demenus Shurk, he is an important target. Though this picture was taken when he was hundred and twelve. About forty years ago."

"What!?"

Loki screamed.

"How is he still alive."

"He is the one that created the stasis capsules we all slept in, it would be foolish to think he would have died by now."

"Mistress is this correct, this was the man we were sent to meet?"

Nyx directed her question to Orchid which simply nodded in reply. While they were having a talk the signal for the intercom rang. The handler closed all files and opened the holocam to answer the call. It was the doctor from the medical bay, he was calling to pass a message.

"Its about Rhinos condition, we ran all the tests and still cannot determent the substance invading his blood stream, it appears to slowly damage his fatal functions, unless we can acquire a stasis chamber he would not make it through the next few days. The damage is appearing to speed up and become more rapid."

After the report, the doctor returned to take care of the crew, while they group loomed in depression a call arrived from the communications room. A signal from a frame capsule had been noticed in the star system, it was coming from the exo planet. This was a perfect chance, though the situation seemed quite suspicious. Volt chose Loki, Frost and Nyx to accompany him while they would take a ship to investigate the planet. Ash was a bit displeased to be excluded and returned to the training room to sharpen his skills. Excalibur left for the hanger with Ember following him. Orchid turned to the group descending upon the dying rock and wished them the best of luck.

While the others got ready, Volt went to the ship to wait. After the colossal ancients attack the floor had been repaired and the crew were all down bellow finishing up the engine rooms repairs. While Volt waited for the others, X was in the corner staring at him.

"Something wrong?"

"Yeah, why aren't I on the expedition to retrieve the capsule."

"I think we both know why?"

"I'm not that weak Volt! I can handle myself!"

"And that factory?"

Excalibur quickly silenced and turned away from him.

"What would you know, you weren’t there."

"No, but I went through the same. I knew immediately after we left that you saw it."

"So you knew about the moa?"

"I grew up in a Corps colony, I saw it happen to my family, my blood. All to aid in the war, I would have been the same if not for the order."

"The same order that we now fight!"

"It doesn't change a thing. Look, I trust you with everyone’s life, I know you can protect this ship. That’s why I'm leaving you here until I'm sure your over it."

"How would you know that?"

"It took me six weeks to get over it myself, you'll know it yourself once the time comes."

The rest of the team soon came down the halls. Once the ship was prepared, X left the Hanger and watched them fly away. While he looked at it the image of watching the man being dissected by the machine to create a moa was flashing in his head, he felt like throwing up, but withheld it.

Whilst the ship approached the exo planet on the brink of death, they noticed several patrol vessels. They were surrounding a ship with Corps markings, the scouts stayed on watch, while the ship maintained orbit above the drifting rocks. The tenno observed the scouting vessels and waited for an opening to infiltrate the ship from bellow. Once the sight was clear, they flew to the ventilation docks avoiding all scanners and prepared for the assault on the ship.

Breaching the hull the group entered the passages of the lower levels of the ship. The path they were on now, lead to the engine room and the front of the ship where the storage bay was located. Checking the readings of their suits they found that the signal was coming from the bay ahead. The group separated to three. Volt and Frost moved along the hall to the storage bay, Loki began to head through the docks above to the upper floors, while Nyx chose a path through the vents in the middle floor of the ship.

Loki too his time climbing through the floors and slowly avoiding the cameras and the soldiers on board. As he climbed through them there were several places that came to his attention, some were small armory others were rooms holding important information. Sneaking in to the vents of the communications room he noticed a conversation being transmitted from the ship. Locking in to the frequency, from afar he could listen to it from his helm, the transmission was a conversation with Lotus. The leader aboard the ship was discussing scientific research trading with them. Lotus offered to give them several pieces of dead tennos to dissect and reuse for their own models. The corps were offering the capsule aboard and several materials in the storage bay, including the contained infection cases. With the agreements in place she was sending a group of tennos to pick it up. Loki stayed hidden till the transaction was done and then made his way to the control room of the ship.

Nyx slowly and silently moved through the vents approaching the hanger doors. Once near them she began to take control of a nearby guard and forced him to lock down the hanger, then to shoot the controls and place the gun to his head pulling the trigger to splatter the head. She then moved to the storage room and locked the doors on the floor awaiting the others to arrive.

Along they're path Volt and Frost had a small conversation since they did not encounter any opposition.

"Do you really think that old man is still alive?"

"He pulled me out of a wreckage taking me to the order, I doubt he'd be dead that easily."

"Then what about Lotus why would she betray us?"

Volt stopped near a corner taking a slight peak around it with the tip of his blade, the reflective surface was strong enough to mirror the hall crossing they're path. There was a small observer floating around, peering his head out he looked down the other half without seeing a single enemy, a missing observer would have alerted the ship. The two quickly crossed the hall and continued they were near the bay.

"I don't know what intentions she might hold, but her actions speak louder than any words."

"So you want to kill her."

"This time, I'm not sure of it."

"This time? what happened before?"

"We prefer not to speak about it, well anyways we're here. Let’s go before the observers spot us."

Volt lifted Frost allowing him to reach the rails above, once he was up and out of sight, the humming of an observer came from the hall. It approached them. Leaping up Volt had a little trouble reaching Frosts hand. The familiar buzzing grew stronger, Volt gazed to his side, there were several pipes along the wall. As the observer flew ahead it turned around the corner searching for any motion or noise. Once the machine flew around the corner it searched the surrounding area covered with pipes and after making sure nothing was around continued on its path to fly through the corridors. After the two placed the rail back into the hole in the ceiling that they made, the two continued through the docks till they reached the storage bay's floor that was right above them. Pushing the rails aside the two climbed out of the space between the floors and met up with Nyx in the room. The three were preparing for the extraction of the target, locking all the doors leading outside they managed to buy some time. Loki quickly joined them jumping from the ceiling, he held a small casing of records from the ship.

"Souvenir?"

"We need to hurry, Lotus little substitutes are coming."

The group approached the middle of the room, the stasis capsule lied before them. Inside was a slim tenno with a violet ring surrounding it, the male tennos appearance was almost majestic and charming.

"Is this a guy?"

"I can't really tell you."

Nyx answered staring at the sleeping tenno. Frost was slightly jealous looking at her, the intensity of her gaze was strong.

"Alright lets wake this guy up and find out."

"No, don't."

The doctors voice came through the communication system in the tennos helm.

"Doc?"

"That capsule must be brought back, we could engineer it to be used as a stasis chamber for Rhino to slowdown the process till we find the cure."

Volt stood there looking at this thing beneath them. How were they to take this out of the ship without notice.

While they stood thinking of a method to transport the tenno stases pod off the ship, the alarm sounded the corps troops rushed to the doors, the group could hear them just outside the sealed room.

"Loki, hack the ship, shut everything down! We'll take care of the troops."

Nyx and Frost took to the sides of the first floor, preparing for the enemies breach, Volt used the crates nearby to get a clear view where the first gates would open. Loki set up position next to the pod breaching through the security systems to find the alarm sequence. Once the first door opened, it was on the west first floor wing, where Nyx had set up to shoot them down. She used a rifle to cut down the first observers, Volt had great sights from the top of the crates and began to open fire upon the forcing group. Moas were felled first for their speed and the crew men were forced back to hiding behind the entrance, they're presence was quickly dealt with once Nyx charmed one of them with mind control, breaching their neurology and broke them from within forcing them to open fire on friendly soldiers.

Loki, pushed the main hacking aside and closed the open gate crushing a soldier that was caught in between rooms. While he returned to the main system hack, the doors across the room opened. This time there were more soldiers coming in, Frost sent a wave of ice forcing them to the walls. The knocked down soldiers quickly regained they're footing, Nyx rushed to the platform and took cover behind the crates, shooting down one after the other. Volt let out a shock blast that shattered the mechanical systems in the little droids stopping the moas and quickly leaving the crewmen without any support. On the second floor a few other doors opened, Volt abandoned the lower parts of the battle field seeking to quickly silence the attack. While the other bellow were cutting down the enemy, Nyx took Volts place on the crates to support the group. Loki closed the doors on the first floor and continued working on the second floor. Volt, shot down several rows of enemies, before releasing a sphere of energy breaking down each enemy in the room. The remaining few that were out of reach began to rush ahead. Volt unsheathed his blade slicing all in his path, several corps soldiers rushed to surround him, swinging his blade to cut the enemy down, he ran to one jumping over him and slamming the blade into the head of a nearby moa. Pulling out his pistols he quickly shattered the remaining three moas before letting out a shot across the room at a hiding soldier. The soldier was behind cover, as he was preparing to turn around and begin shooting, the soldier stopped and slowly began to slide down the wall. The bullet pierced the small connections between the pillars and sank deep into his skull.

As doors on the second floor closed the first floor opened once more. Loki abandoned the doors and returned to the hacking of the ships main computers, within a few seconds he finally finished and the alarm sound ceased. Frost and Nyx were relieved and a bit distracted. As Loki lifted himself from the ground, a rocket slammed him in the chest. He was knocked back to the crates on the platform, away from the pod. A group of heavy soldiers arrived to face the threat in the cargo bay. Volt pulled his blade out and rushed to the rim of the floors side. A soldier with a plasma blade was running at Lokis current position, his suit was unresponsive. Volt kicked the ridged rim of the floor and leaped over the crates, opening fire on the corps soldiers. His bullets quickly pierced the legs and shattered his chest. As the lifeless body fell to the ground, Volt landed next to his fallen comrade and slammed the ground forming a force field deflecting all incoming projectiles.

"Are you ok?"

"The suits powered out, I need a reboot."

Volt began breaching Lokis security system and activating its reboot. Once the power was restored, his shield quickly replenished and they took back to the fight. Frost was pushing the remaining forces back, while Nyx was finishing off the second floors survivors. Loki stood up trading places with one of the enemy soldiers further back, Volt began to thrust his blade into the crate stabbing the cops soldier to the crate and then pulling his blade up slicing him apart. Opening fire on the remaining group the three quickly finished the job and closed the doors to the room. Thinking over all possibilities Volt sent Loki back to the ship to prepare for pick up outside the cargo bay entrance. They then pulled the pod with the tenno inside to the nearest room containing a window to the outside. Placing the capsule in the middle of the room Nyx and Volt prepared to hold the pod stead while Frost froze the window. Behind them in the hanger a massive clanking sound roared, as a Jakal stepped upon the platform. With time running low as it prepared to open fire, Frost rushed the window bashing it. Nyx and Volt shot at the glass to break a larger opening. The void began to pull the breaking widow apart and broke it entirely, the ships sensors read the breach in pressure and quickly closed all doors to the room. As the room began to be sucked out to space, Frost leaped out first, the others slowly pushed the pod out through the opening and jumped through the window before the shutter closed. While they drifted to space, a ship appeared behind them slamming them at its opened hatch and allowed them to climb inside with the pod sliding in on its own. Once they were inside the hatch began to close. Rushing to the controls they began to prepare the ship for a jump and then quickly disappeared in a streak of light.

"That was close."

"Lets just hope that kids worth it."

"Next time how about you do the hacking."

The group was relieved that the operation was over. Once they returned to the ship, there was a buzz to quickly transport the pod to a safe room to pull out the tenno body before placing Rhino in.

The pilots flew the ship to the dark side of the living planet in the system. The world bellow was lush and overgrown, with several surface villages. The space carrier that they used was able to magnify the image and observe them. While the others were taking a breather, Ash and Volt stood in the hall outside the sick bay. While they waited, Ember soon arrived asking about the situation, but they simply shook their heads and waited. With time passing by, they were slowly growing tired of waiting, suddenly the door opened and the doctor stepped out.

"Good news, Rhinos condition was stabilized, he'll be safe for some time. But there were a few issues with the new tennos awakening. His suit code was Void 039, the last 26 models were lost in a battle against the graneers, destroyed before awakening them. His suit hasn't yet finished assimilating with the body and lacks full neuro synchrony."

"Will he be fine?"

"Technically in three weeks the suit will automatically repair the problems and he'll be in full health. For now he's asleep in the room next door. Rhino on the other hand, is still in critical condition and without several resources we won’t be able to save him."

"What do we lack?"

"Several herbs and synthetic mixtures, luckily the jungle planet bellow holds much promise of the required herbs. But we can't seem to contact the inhabitance, the captain asked for you to see her in the control room."

Volt nodded and asked the other two to keep an eye on them. While Volt made his way to the bridge, to meet the pilots in charge of the vessel. Once the doors opened before him near the door stood Excalibur gazing at the captain that was standing ahead at the front of the room, next to the glass. He seemed less tense then when they last talked. The handler Orchid was standing next to the captain, the sight of the two woman captivated Volt. It was something new for him to see, for when he worked with Lotus, she never came to the control room to speak with the captain or even met the tennos directly. No one on the ship saw her in person, which simply left an impression that she never was there. But now seeing this white Lotus was something new to him. The female captain stood at the window gazing down through the edge of the moon at the planet bellow. She was the girl they saved from the locked room aboard the ship. She was young and still not much experienced to such work, yet she was the best pilot aboard aside from the tennos. As Volt stepped next to them, he looked at the planet bellow and asked.

"What is it?"

"Volt, thank you for joining us."

Orchid replied speaking from behind the captain.

"The reason why we asked you here is the planet bellow."

"What about it?"

"We've caught several transmissions from it from a tenno ship. But the population of the planet isn't responding to any of our messages or transmissions."

The captain explained. She was a bit shorter then Volt as he turned to her Volt continued to question.

"Any other information, the ships number, pilots, surface pictures?"

"No, and that is why we need you to take an expedition to the surface, the doctor informed us of the required herbs and we think that would be reason enough to take a squad and investigate the villages. They do show to have constructed strange temples, yet that does not follow any culture know to us, and aside from the shining lights from the villages we can't see any life movement on the planet. The tennos are probably using cloaking to stay in hiding."

"Yet, they're group could be valuable to our cause, if we are able to convince them that Lotus has began to over through the order."

"Then we need to descend to the planet before they leave and return before the Lotus ships arrival."

On his way out, Volt took Excalibur with him, heading for the ship, he called for Ash and Ember to join him. Leaving loki with Frost to keep an eye out for incoming ships, he asked Nyx to keep her eyes on the new tenno, while he still slept there was no telling what could happen. Leaving the ship in the shadows of the moon, they flew down to the surface of the planet that was slowly descending to night time.

Landing near the other tenno ship, they quickly began to inspect the surrounding and search for any markings left by tenno forces. Ember boarded the ship looking for any survivors, the ship was safely landed and well masked, and under the brush it was hard to notice it from above. The jungle was thick and allowed so little light to break in through the trees. Everyone had to use the night vision inserted into their helmets to observe they're surroundings. Ash kept to the tree tops searching for any movement, while X and Volt masked their own ship and kept watch for the wild life. Ember took to searching through the logs for any information about the group that piloted the ship. The crew consisted of three tennos, one of which was a Trinity model, the other was a Mag suit wielding tenno, the third stayed out of frame most of the time, but among the notes she found that the third member of the group was also a female tenno skilled in hunting. It appeared as though the group was based on flexibility and control when in combat. The mission of the team was to assess the threat of a religious group on the planet. The target was within the borders of the city nearby. It was a small village built on a colony underneath it. The group disbanded to properly observe the village before infiltrating it. But they soon noticed unusual behavior and decided to investigate the colony underneath as quickly as possible. The last record was made several hours ago, which meant they were here not too long ago. As Ember was leaving the ship she noticed a missing ammunition crate, as though the group prepared for heavy resistance. Exiting to the jungle outside the team was preparing to move out and approach the village.

Ash suddenly heard the sound of breaking branches, there was something heading at they're direction, as he took position to face whatever it was, the group also took to the cover of trees to avoid a surprise attack. Ash watched the bush's move as he prepared his throwing knifes for firing at the enemy. A small critter jumped out of them, it looked like a rabbit crossed with a mouse and a cat, the tail was curly and fluffy, elongated ears stood from its head, while it munched on the nuts of a tree nearby, the creature noticed they're smell and quickly ran away from the area. The team lowered they're guard, but they quickly learned the threat was closer than they thought, a blow of force knocked Ash from the tree, as he knocked back to the branches behind him, a blade pierced the tree near Excalibur’s head, as he jumped back, the tree was quickly sliced and a force managed to pushed it at them, felling the tree in the direction of the other two tenno's and avoiding the two ships. As they got back on their feet and held their ground, behind the tree stood a tenno suit, it was the Mag unit from the vessel.

"Who are you?"

She asked while holding twin blades. The group stood silently, as Volt began explaining.

"We're from the ship commanded by Orchid, we were planning to ask you the same thing."

"We were sent here by Rose, we are the orders infiltration division, why are you here?"

"We are on a search for several medical herbs, to aid our friend."

"Then I suppose there is no reason for us to fight then?"

"Lower your blades and we shall do the same."

"So you truly are not from the rebellious faction?"

Mag asked as she placed her blades back into their sheaths.

"Rebellious?"

"Lotus, lost several of her forces in a battle as they betrayed the order."

"It was not we who betrayed the order, but she betrayed us!"

Excalibur yelled at her as he refused to lower his blades.

"So you are the rebels!?"

Mag screamed as she gripped her blades, quickly surrounded by the team she was stopped before gripping the swords.

"Listen to us first, Lotus sent a dark tenno she called Anubis to assassinate us. She betrayed us and is planning to over through the order, we have records proving this."

"Records that you most likely folsified."

"She was trying to sell tenno technology to the Corps."

"That’s impossible. Why would any handler make deals with those scum?"

"We'll give you all the proof you need once we're done with this mission. So now why arer you here?"

"They were sent to investigate the religious group on this world."

Ember interrupted them.

"Yes, their a cult that seems to have been growing rapidly on this planet, so we arrived here to find the answer why?"

"And where’s your team?"

"They're currently in the underground colony observing their rituals. The group seems to be worshiping something they call the Venom goddess."

"Why aren't you there?"

"I was sent back to prepare the ship for evacuation, the group seems to be preparing for some right of passage."

"Then we'll just have to hold you up and deal with this here and now."

Volt pulled back his sword placing it back between his shoulders; the team soon followed lowering they're blades.

"Show us the way."

With Mag leading the way through the jungle the team approached the village, along the path they managed to find some of the herbs, only three alluded them, which were nowhere to be found. As the walls of the village came to sight through the trees, Mag signaled everyone to take cover. Ash was still keeping to the top of the jungle and began scanning the streets, there wasn't a sight of a signal person on the face of the planet from the view he had. Tapping the bark like a bird he signaled the others that it was safe to go ahead. Using the thick trees they jumped along the side of it running up to jump over the wall. Once they landed inside the village, Ember noticed a small flower growing in the corner, the scanner registered it as one of the ingredients required by the doctor on board. As she plucked the flower, the other continued along the path to the colony entrance, with Mag at the front. Ash jumped down to the ground silently landing on the dirt beside Ember. The two of them slowly followed keeping an eye on the streets behind them. Mag lead them into a building that looked like a temple.

"What is this place?"

"The people of the colony rebuilt the entrance to it as soon as the surface was hospitable, and after that they began to change it into this, in the honor of their goddess."

The temple was empty, just a giant hole with a spiraling path to its depts. stood in the middle. The inside of the structure was decorated with carvings of spiders and other crawling creatures, there were several carvings of a woman with a spider like shape to her. This must have been their goddess. As They slowly descended into the darkness bellow, the squad was avoiding any contact with opposition or the inhabitance. Near the bottom of the spiral outside the gate stood two men with a dark robe around them. They held red slim staffs that were rather resemblance of ancient technology. Volt turned to Excalibur and Ash. The two nodded and as the phase shift was commenced the other swung his blade cutting down the guards outside the gate. Ash then quickly drew his blade slicing through the guards shoulder and following up on a quick cut to his through to keep him silenced. With the two robed men out of the way, they began to infiltrate the colony underneath.

Behind the doors they found a tunnel, leading to the deeper sections of the colony. They were inside the work sector of the city. There were several workshops and factory for tool production, this planet was created for the creation of circuits that would be gathered by the Corps. It was a colony where they created the observers. Mag lead the path through the gates ahead, the team stood at the top of a cylindrical colony, built deep in to the rock, down bellow there was a great lake with an islanded, upon it there was an ark of a temple. That had to be the entrance to the sanctum of these cultists. As they began to descend to the lower floors the group had to use the wiring to lower themselves. While they approached the middle floor there was a sound of gunshots from bellow. They slid faster to see what was going on. On the side of the colony there was a massive amount of floaters swarming up to a red figure fighting against them. Mag jumped to the floor and rushed to aid the figure. The other joined in and ran to help them.

As they reached the battle, it was Trinity, she was fighting off the swarm that had ambushed her while she was observing the colonies defenses. The tenno held two pistols shooting at the enemy with great speed.

"Glad to see you cam back to help Mag, but who are these guys?"

She asked as she took cover from the incoming fire.

"The rebels, though they say otherwise."

"Well doesn't matter as long as they shoot the enemy and not us."

Volt took a shot of his electricity blast at the swarm but once a few fell the others quickly took its place. Excalibur took to the wall running to the midst of the swarm and leaped away slamming his blade into the ground. The impact forced broken pipes and shraps of metal to shoot out shredding the swarm apart. As the observers fell back they retreated to the safety of the upper floors.

"Well not too shabby, guess we owe you one."

"Trinity, where’s Oracle?"

"She descended to the cults sanctum to record their activities so we can deliver the intel."

Ember pushed Volt aside jumping forth.

"Oracle? your third member is an Oracle tenno?"

"Yes, she's one of the best too."

Volt gazed at the temple bellow and spoke.

"Ember and Mag, we'll take the sanctum and get Oracle. Trinity, X and Ash you deal with any resistance inside the colonies walls."

"Well now, that’s asking a lot, they're all our opposition."

"Then we best get to work."

Excalibur broke the Trinity models sarcasm as he took to the roofs and began to climb his way up after the observers. Ash soon followed by climbing the elevator to the top floor. The other group began to descend to the bottom of the colony along the elevators shaft. Along the way, Ember questioned whether this was her sister. Once they landed on the roof of the elevator, Mag sliced an opening to it and jumped through it, landing on her feet she waited for the other two to get through before exiting the elevator. Once outside through the door they were on a small passage leading to the island ahead, it was entirely empty, Volts helm began to scan the plants, and located a yellow leafed plant that was part of the list that the doctor had given them. Once they reached the island he plucked it from the growth and placed it among the tools in his bag. Ember quickly found the door behind the ark, they were huge, yet made out of wood, the closed doors were thick enough to block all incoming sound. They're blades would have a tough time breaching through.

Volt told the others to hide while he knocked on the gate. There was a little slide that could open to see who it was as it slid open, he bent down to avoid the sights. The guard without seeing anyone unlocked the door to get a look outside, once the gate slid open Volt thruster the blade into the mans head severing it from the shoulders. The body quickly fell to the ground lifeless.

"Why did you do that?"

"This is a Corps colony, he'd be thankful I'm saving him from the ordinary deaths pain."

Without explaining anything he pushed the doors open and stepped inside with the other two following behind.

Volt, Ember and Mag entered the underground chambers that were sculpted by the colony inhabitance, the tunnel lead forth to a large chamber, surrounded by several floors. Keeping to the shadows they climbed to the top floor, Volt slowly approached a guard near the top of the stairs and before he could turn around stabbed him in the stomach slicing him apart as he pushed his blade deeper pulling it away to the side. As the guard silently fell to his death, Ember gripped the spear held by the guard and placed it near the wall, leaning in to it to avoid the sound of it hitting the floor. Once the minor problem was dealt with they slowly began to continue to the dark corners of the oval shaped floor, the small windows carved in the rock were perfect to observe the large ceremony room down bellow. As they gazed around, Oracle was nowhere to be seen. Down below the inhabitance gathered crowding the giant hall. One of the oldest members of the colony stood on the platform reciting some chant, kneeling before a box. The container was of an odd coloration, it seemed similar to the spears held by the guards. As he stood back up the elder picked up the box and turned to the mass behind him.

"Brothers and sisters, tonight we are here to honor the final preparations for the arrival of the great goddess. As promised to us once before the goddess has called us from the heavens to announce her arrival. She comes for us and the treasure she left behind, the great one shall bring us peace, fortune and prosperity. We shall no longer fear the beasts outside and the blasphemers shall all be wiped clean of this world, for we are the chosen children of Arcania, the venom goddess!"

As he spoke her name the crowd roared and shouted, the box was placed on a pedestal before him and he unlocked it. Within was a small plate with several other things amongst which was a small green vial that he pulled out. Within the box were also a few dried grapes from the surface. Volts scanners began to react to the herb and registered it as a breed called Grehemnia a grape that only grew in the wilds and on alien planets, it was the last component in the doctors list. The elder placed the vial upon a sculpture that was slightly outside their view, as they leaned in they saw a giant statue of a woman with a spider body carved out from the rock. The priest of this cult placed the vial upon the hands of this figure and stepped back bowing before it. As the tennos looked at the mass bowing to this statue, chanting a strange prayer, they noticed a cloaked figure in the back of the room. It was only kneeling half way keeping eyes on the statue and pedestal before it.

"Is that her?"

Volt asked Mag, as she turned to look.

"Yeah, that has to be Oracle, we need to get her out of there."

"No, we need her to stay there, probably getting all of that stuff in the chest will grant us a better idea about this cult."

"Are you insane, we can’t risk..."

"He's right."

Ember agreed with Volts suggestion.

"If there’s a way to slow down the cult we need to take it."

"Very well, but how do we do this, there’s hundreds of them down there. How can we get to the pedestal without notice?"

"Loki could have got through with his cloaking, and phase shift, but now we have to act cautiously. If we take out all the guards and slowly approach the entrance to meet with Oracle, could you use your ability to pull the box and vial in to get them to us?"

"I could try, but that would take a bit of time and you would need to cover me."

"Wait."

Ember, spoke as she leaned over the side of the window and quickly snuck back in.

"There’s a small balcony above the statue, if we can force it all to levitate up and trick them that the acts they see are heavenly we could escape without them getting wise about our position."

Volt and Mag gazed through the corner of the window and agreed with Embers proposal, avoiding a fight would make it much simpler for them to escape. If the cult would believe that the goddess arrival is beginning and continue praying harder without looking they could escape without killing the people of the village. While Volt and Mag made their way to the balcony which was at the opposite end of the floor and up a flight of stairs, Ember sneaked around the floor killing the remaining guards. Draining the oxygen around them to fell them unconscious or slice their heads off before they got any wiser. She made her way down to meet up with Oracle. As Volt climbed the stairs, he noticed a few strange markings on the walls, tenno markings, they shouldn't have been there. When they were ready to begin the deception, Mag gazed over the edge of the balcony to where the entrance was, waiting to see Ember entering the room. Volt took spot near the stairs guarding the entrance. Ember soon entered the giant chapel with a cloak she stole from one of the guards, taking place next to the other cloaked figure she took a closer look and noticed a tenno suits knee peering out of the cloak.

"Oracle, is that you?"

The figure slightly turned to her revealing a tenno helm on the side of witch there was a star marking engraved within the O peering out from the cloak.

"Mag is going to levitate the box and vial out of the room, once they do so we need to discreetly vanish and wait for them before escaping the temple."

"Who are you, your voice sounds so familiar."

"I-Its me... si..."

Ember was stopped mid sentence before she could finish, the vial began to slowly move from the arms of the goddess statue and float into the air, the box quickly followed it, floating up the box rose to the air encasing the vial within it and closing. Oracle turned to the balcony above the statue, a shadowy figure of Mag stood there with her hands in front of her chest, she was concentrating to pull the box up.

"The great goddess shines upon us, she is gracing us with a miracle!"

"Our prayers are answered!"

"We must pray harder for her to forgive us and take us along."

The crowd began to scream as they saw the floating box rise higher. The cult began to pray with their head pressed into the ground. Ember began to pull the other cloaked tenno out of the room, once they exited the chapel, they watched the box enter into Mags hands, the religious prayers and rants continued, as the two other tennos came rushing down the stairs. Volt was carrying the box, as Mag was exhausted from the performance. With the crowed beginning to wonder where their great deity was the group rushed to the big gate escaping the chapel un noticed. Once outside Oracle pushed the door closed and sliced down a tree that blocked the path of the gate.

"That should keep them busy."

Rushing to the top floor they were forced to use the path near the great gate to the underground chapel to escape the colony. The pipes rising from the lake provided a perfect catwalk to the upper floors.

Excalibur and Ahs with Trinity chased the group of observers to the fabrication area in the plant, they hide in the factory. The idea of going inside there, shocked X as he stopped in the hall, near the door. When the other two caught up they were ready to enter the production facility. The lighting side was shattered and the rooms were engulfed in utter darkness. Inside only few glimmers of light from the observers were noticeable. They activated night vision to have an upper hand in this battle, as they set foot into the room, the observers began to cluster together making an easy target for Trinity to shoot at, Excalibur joined in with Ash slicing them down one by one, as they cut down the smaller and peskier shield generators they noticed a bright blue figure in the midst of the swarm. Trinity pulled out a small grenade and flung it at the mass ahead, It all bunched up together and sacrificed several of its own to protect the figure within. The tennos were quickly scattered as the observers began to open fire, flinging leaches at the tenno. Trinity shot through the ones headed her way but jumped out of the path when she noticed several bullets fire from the swarm. Ash and Excalibur began cutting through the leaches as they slowly uncovered the figure within the observer group. It was a massive floating unit, armed with several rocket launchers and two gatling cannons fitted to its sides, the floater used the other observers as a shield to protect itself from the enemy, Within the darkness it began shooting rockets that targeted the two swordsmen as they ran to avoid them. The rockets fogged the vision in the room and would relentlessly chase the two. They both ran along the walls till they crossed each other’s sights and rushed at one another. Jumping behind each other they slid their blades along each other and sliced the rockets chasing them, leaving them to explode shattering the few observers around them. Trinity began to open fire as she released an energy pulse engulfing the giant floating menace.

They rushed to the enemy slicing its cannons and stopping the gun fire from the enemy. The flying mechanical beast flew away into the depts. of the facility running from them. Giving chase the group followed it to the second chamber of the facility, a new swarm of observers engulfed the giant machine as it began releasing rockets at the group. Trinity shot two of the rockets down before engulfing herself and the other two in a green light. The two swordsmen rushed to avoid the rockets but as two remaining ones were closing in on them they both ran to the floating swarm and leaped to the air slicing their way through the observer mess, as they landed on the ground the rockets slammed into the swarm and exploded shattering them all in one explosion, the blue giant fled once more to the room nearby, this time running to the armory, not deeper into the factory. Following it the group rushed through the door only to get caught by a blast from its rockets, as they fell back the green light engulfing them faded absorbing most of the harm. Ash rushed through the door, followed by the others. Inside the blue floating giant now was alone, only surrounded by a crowed of moas from the armory. The small droids began firing on the tennos, as Trinity ducked behind the nearby pillar for cover, Ash clenched his blade tightly and a system sequence began to register enemy forces in his sights. As he leaped forth, the phase shift transported him behind them stabbing his blade into their heads, he cut down most of them one by one phase jumping to them and thrusting his blade. Once they had fallen, he swung the blade slicing the legs of the nearby survivors. Excalibur flashed through the room cutting down the remaining moas, and once the droids were dead the group could concentrate to the blue giant observer floating before them. The thing had nowhere to hide and its only choice was to fight launching a barrage of rockets at the tenno's, while trinity took down most of the rockets, the two swordsmen jumped forth slicing its wings damaging the rocket canon, as the creature fell to the group. It was unable to fight back or escape anymore, with its damaged cannons and wings it flinched trying to do any action. The three tennos pulled forth they're pistols and all together in unison blasted the floater to bits.

"Ok, we have what we came for, lets leave."

A message came in through the transmitters from Volt, they were on their way to the gate. Rushing out of the room the group exited the factory and waited for the others to arrive. Only Excalibur glanced another look at the figure on the floor behind him, a mashed and demolished machine that was unlike anything they ever saw the Corps build. Their technology is starting to take up a new evolution. Once outside the factory they saw the other approaching from the colony, they had the box and everyone was ready to leave. Rushing to the spiral and up to the surface, they were stopped by a group of guards on their way into the colony. Oracle jumped forth pulling out her blade, rushing at the enemy ahead, she quickly sliced them down and knelled before the other two in front of her, which were quickly shot down by Trinity's pistols.

With the enemy out of their way the group rushed to the roofs of the buildings in the colony leaping to the wall, it was taller than any building in the village so after a short wall run they all had to volt over it and slide down the trees to land on the ground. Once outside the town they rushed back to their ships. Pulling the branches and moss off, they quickly prepared for takeoff and left the planet’s surface. The second group of tennos followed as Volt led them to the ship. Once they approached the carrier the hanger bay opened, allowing them both to land safely. After the ships were aboard the pilots began to pull out from behind the moon and prepare for the warp jump to the next star system. With a streak of light they left the space behind them, within minutes a new light shined over the planet as a small ship warped into the space bellow the moon descending to the planet bellow.

Traveling through subspace, Volt, Frost, Nyx and Mag were at the command room with Orchid. They were discussing Lotuses actions and proving to her that she was the original traitor. Whilst they stayed separate from the other, Ash took the collected herbs to the doctor that was preparing to stabilize Rhinos condition. Building the anti toxin would have taken time and the doctor needed the tennos steady hand to prepare it perfectly. From old age, the docs muscles were slowly depravation and a tremor began to show when conducting precise procedures. While Trinity took care of their ship, preparing for departure, Ember pulled Oracle aside and tried explaining to her who she was, Excalibur took to the bridge to prepare for the next systems arrival.

"Back at the cults temple, you asked who I was."

Ember spoke to her by pulling off the cloak that she still had on.

"It's me sis."

Oracle stood in silence watching the tenno reveal a similar scratch on her chest. The same that was etched onto her helmet.

"Caral, it’s you?"

Ember nodded in response, the two jumped into each other’s hands embracing one another.

"I missed you, I thought I'd never see you again."

"So did I, after we heard that twelve of the Oracle models were destroyed in battle with the other clans. I thought I had lost you, even back in Centuri, I feared for the worst. It’s so great to see you."

The two carried on to exchange their story's and experiences, reminiscing on the days long past. Back at the command room, Orchid displayed the recorded acts performed by Lotus, also including the recorded message from the corps vessel. Mag was skeptical at first, but as the evidence and story's continued pilling up, including all the infestation breaches and suicidal missions conducted by Lotus. There was no further denying the truth.

"So if Lotus betrayed you, what are her main goals?"

"We don’t know, she managed to gain unusual powerful tenno suits, and these new tenno are not to be trifled with, as a group we had little impact upon it. As far as we can say, Lotus is probably planning to over through the Order and the Tower is probably her main target."

"So we must rush to the order and inform them."

"Its not that easy."

Volt cut her off.

"If we land in the Tower, the order will definitely attack us and try to destroy our whole group. Considering of the amount of tennos still based there, we would need an entire fleet of Graneer Legionaries to even stand against them. Currently we need someone on the inside helping us. That’s why we need you to convince your handler Rose to aid us in furthering the investigation, we need to keep this secret from all the other handlers and members of the council. We'll need your help just to attain the possibility of entering the Tower."

"Why don't you show this evidence to the council right now?"

"Lotus is a handler, we are only tennos, to prove her activities we would need to storm her ship which is completely impossible right now. She has been considering with the Graneer and the Corps. Possibly she'll use them and cause another war. We need to reach the tower and locate the council only after speaking to them one by one will we reach a possibility to stop her."

"So let me get this straight. You want us to risk our lives by bringing you to the Tower without anyone noticing, so you could break into the council and force them to believe you."

"Not force, we will bring the evidence with us."

Down in the foundry Loki was gazing into the machinery, with his gun in hand, he watched it twist and turn as it was constructing something. The little girl that they saved from the frozen planet was with the workers, they were teaching her how the machine worked. Loki watched her from the corner of the room, several memories began to stir up his mind, like a curse slithering up his spine to bite the head off. After shaking his head to break loss of the memories he left the room heading for the training quarters.

Leaving his blade at the doorstep, on a table Loki entered the training room. Several mannequins of a hard synthetic material stood at the side of the room, he gazed at the empty corners before making sure that he was alone. Without any weapons in hand he took his path to the manikins to train. As he looked into the blank heads of the body’s before him he slowly drifted to his past.

His memories crossed rivers and reached a barrier between him and his memories, behind the glass like barrier he gazed at a field of green, a house on the corner of a village colony. He saw a bunch of workers in the fields, amongst them a little child, young girl ran through the plantation to a man working in the fields. Tackling him, they both fell down laughing, a woman from the edge of the field called her daughter back, and called the man to the table. As the day’s work closed to an end they were all relieved and spending their time in the fields safely under the stars. Pointing at falling stars, they watched the skies.

Loki turned away from this vision, he knew what would come next, meditating on past memories was difficult and harmful for both the mind and body. Yet this was the only way he could find the strength to continue.

As in reality he wound up his first punch, and slammed it into the mannequin, the crunching echo from the slam sounded like an explosion within his memories. The sky had turned red behind the barrier, the town was on fire, graneer soldiers were running through the streets gunning down the citizens one after another. Those who made it to the shelter of the colony walls sealed themselves within and abandoned everyone else. The girl that he saw from before was running through the fields screaming for her mother. As she approached the village a group of graneer soldiers were chasing her with ring blades laughing. She tripped on the plants and fell to the dirt, as she looked up cowering from them, a piece of wood slammed the two of the graneers knocking them down, the man that pushed the two soldiers were the man from the fields, he grabbed they're blades and sliced the soldiers necks, leaving them to die. With the two blades in hand he lunged at the other remaining members of the group and cut them apart. After dropping the blades he turned to the girl and took her into his arms, pressing her against his chest. They soon escaped from the fields and hid behind the walls. The girl was still silently crying for her mother. As they turned around the corner to approach the colony entrance, they saw the building collapsed and the woman from his past under burning wood of the structure. Grabbing the child to cover her from the horror, he pushed her into a small shack and told her to wait for him to come back, and stay hidden and silent. He closed the door shut and tried to find a working vehicle to escape from the village, but as he ran around the corner a graneer marine slammed him in the head with his gun and left him in the streets to die with six bullet wounds in his stomach. Lying there in a pool of blood, the man watched them burn down the village with him left in the middle of the flames.

Soon the flames parted and three figures stepped forth, a man with a long white robe and a red eye approached him, he was old and had a pipe in his lips. As he gazed upon the man, the old one turned to one of his colleagues, a young lady in red with a dark robe she gazed at the body before them and nodded. Behind them stood a figure which looked like a tenno suit, he stepped forth and picked up the body carrying it away. The man warped with bullets tried to tell them to stop, to take the girl with them and leave him, but the punctured lungs would not produce the breath for the words. As he was carried away, the man could only watch as the shed with the girl in it burned to the ground. As they were taking him away, they placed the body upon a tray, in front of a ship. There were few others ships there with more people with white coats, they were gathering body’s from the village. As his consciousness faded the robed old man shined a light into his eye and tried speaking with him.

As Loki returned from the meditation, he was repeatedly bashing the mannequin before him, faster, stronger. It was the only way to let out the stress aboard this ship. He kept at it till he bashed the bust in the face and it broke off. His heavy breathing echoed to his ears. Within the helmet a tear began to form under his left eye.

"Your in a bad mood."

Excalibur stood in the doorway, he was leaning on the side of the door and looking at the figure before Loki.

"What do you want?"

"A mannequin can't really defend himself, so how about a proper match?"

The ship was stirring up as groups of crew members gathered near the entrance of the training room and cafeteria. The screen there was the best place to observe the training room camera. The two tennos, Loki and Excalibur were standing in the middle of the room clenching their blades. The group near the door were quickly scattered as the door closed for safety. When they rushed to the other rooms nearby to observe it the fight began. Loki rushed in first slamming his blade over X's shoulder, the attack was blocked and pushed down the edge of the sword as he knocked the twin horned fighter to the side. The ship began to sound with the voices of workers betting on who would come out victorious. While the ship was in an uproar, Ash and the doctor were completing the medication, curious of what was happening Ash left the doctor to finish the final process alone. The old man did not mind and allowed him to leave as the only process left was the centrifuge for a few minuets.

Once out of the med bay Ash was quickly confronted with a mass of engineers rushing to the cafeteria to see the fight. Concerned of the situation he calmly followed. The two continued to cross blades, as Excalibur kicked Lokis arm, clenching the blade aside, he jumped the tenno and was prepared to pin him down. Yet overcome by rage the two horned devil quickly phase shifted with him and knocked X to the floor. As the one horned soldier was pushed back he felt insulted by the opponents use of abilities in a fair fight. Lashing out with a blinding bolt of light he rushed to the opponent punching him and sending the tenno flying at the wall in full force.

In the conference room with Orchid and the others, the conversation was interrupted by a transmission from the captain.

"I apologize for the interruption, but I believe you need to see this."

The pilots quickly transmitted a video feed of the fight to the hologram in the conference room. Mag was shocked by their actions.

"This is how you intend to take down Lotus, with a group of wild renegades?"

"What are those lunatics doing, they could distort the warp fields."

"I'll deal with it, Frost you’re in charge of the delegation."

Volt calmed everyone down and left the room, closing the feed Orchid attempted to salvage the reasoning with the Rose group to attempt an infiltration of the Orders Tower. On his way down, the Sharp helmed soldier that had accepted the duty of cleaning this mess, descended through the floors in an elevator. The nearest entrance to the elevator was near the cafeteria, he hoped to find few of the other team mates to assist with this problem.

Back in the room, the two gauged up their strength testing who’s blades and agility were better. As Loki pushed X back to the mannequins he phase shifted with one of them to attack the tenno from behind, but Excalibur quickly countered with a high jump leaping to one of the four pillars in the room. Gripping to the rails of the went on the wall he stared at the opponent, before leaping at him in a streak of light, Loki once again escaped with his phase shift, but left all the mannequins to be sliced to pieces by X.

Down the hall the cafeteria had two entrances, and the crowds were cramming and blocking them both. As Ash approached the entrance he saw the fight on the screen within the room. Behind him the door of the elevator opened and Volt stepped out.

"Ash, we gotta stop them."

The silent assassin nodded his head and followed him down the hall to the entrance of the training room. At that time the two sisters were having a conversation on their way down a hall across the cafeteria from them. As they entered, neither of them noticed the fight till the crowed began roaring to an attack by one of the tennos. Excalibur had knocked Loki down when he attempted a phase shift with one of the remaining mannequins. The devilish tenno lied on the floor before kicking X at his feet and sending him to the ground. The two were slightly disturbed by this fight.

"What’s going on, are they training?"

"No, I don’t think either of them would fight like that in a sparring match."

Ember replied as she watched Loki slam his blade into the ground where Excalibur’s head was before he managed to avoid it. Rolling back to his feet the soldier closely watched his opponents movements as he pulled the blade from the ground. The slam had lunged it into the rails tightly and required a bit of force before it came loss.

On the bridge the captain received a call from Volt demanding to overwrite the training room and unlock the door. The fight was beginning to escalate and growing more violent as Lokis intentions to kill his opponent grew. Failing to lock down his opponent he threw the blade over X's head misdirecting him, as he phase shifted with a mannequins doll that was on the floor slashed apart. He kicked down Excalibur and caught the blade in a spin around from the round house kick, and was about to kill the tenno before him, when a flash of light blocked his blade. Ash stood there blocking his attack, as he looked down behind him, Volt had his blade at X's throat as the tenno on the ground held a pistol in his hand.

"What is the meaning of this?"

Volt yelled at them both. Loki remained silent as he drew back his blade, Excalibur lowered his gun and slowly stood back up.

"It was a training match, we were just preparing in case we face the black tenno again."

Excalibur explained as Loki remained silent, without a word he began to leave the room. But Volt gripped him by the shoulder and stopped the fellow.

"Wait."

Loki turned around and with the hilt of his blade slammed him in the stomach. As Volt stepped back slightly the twin horned one replied.

"I did not choose you, for our leader."

He whispered slightly that only Volt could hear, leaving the group in the training room he walked down the hall away from anyone. Excalibur stayed with Ash to clean up the mess and fix everything. While Volt was on his way back to the conference room. He received a call from Ember, she was concerned about the fight.

"What happened? the cafeteria was flooded with disappointed crewmembers as the fight ended. What was that about any way."

"I don’t know but I'll find out."

As he closed the transmission Frost called to inform him that they should concern themselves with Lokis state and leave the agreement to them. Not even a few seconds later Volt was contacted once more, by the captain.

"Sir, one of the escape pods is being accessed to, some ones getting ready to abandon this ship as soon as we exit the warp."

"I'll take a look at it captain."

Once more he rushed off down the hall to the evacuation compounds aboard the ship.

Making hast to the evacuation room, Volt passed several grumpy crewmen glaring at him. As he approached the cafeteria Ember and Oracle were leaving the halls and heading to the training room. As he bolted passed them, Ember stopped him.

"What’s wrong?"

"I'm trying to find out."

After a quick trade of words in the hall, he continued down to the lower levels where the activity was noticed. The sisters stood in front of the cafeteria near the elevator before going down to the training room. The ship was filled with much disappointment due to the unresolved battle.

Volt took the fastest way to the lower section of the ship, leaping down through an empty elevator shaft he forced the doors open and continued to run down the hall to the escape pods in the lower floors. As he slid in through the door, before him stood a familiar figure. Loki was packing a pod and preparing for launch.

"What’s going on here?"

"It doesn't concern you."

"You’re taking the resources of this crew, as far as your actions I'm still your active team leader."

Loki threw a container at him, forcing Volt to dodge it. Without any further attempts to chase him the twin horned devil stepped forth a bit.

"Our handler is a traitor, our leader is a lost cause, fighting for nothing. While we waist time here, people out there are dying in millions each day we spend in space, each week for us is a month for them. They are suffering while we sit back and you take your time planning nothing!"

"We can't save them all!"

"Maybe you can't, but at least I'm willing to try!"

Volt stood before his comrade gazing into his intense figure.

"You don't think we try? We are trapped in the outer rims of tenno space. If we could save a colony you think we won't? Back there those people were killing each other, colonies at war is that what you want us to do. Kill an entire colony to protect another."

"We have to make the hard choices, who else is gonna make them!?"

"Hard choices? You think none of us made a harsh decision? All of us aboard this ship have lost everything! Now more than ever we need each other!"

"What difference does it make? In the end we'll fight our own allies, will you pull the trigger to kill one of your own?"

"I already have. How do you think I got here? Through a field of bunnies? I killed my own brother! Because I could not let him become a MOA!"

"And what about my daughter, my family? They had the chance to save them, but the order just left them to burn to ash!"

"All of us have lost everything, that’s why we remain a family here! Without each other, who else do we have left?"

"You think, any of you can replace anyone?"

"No one’s replacing anyone here. We are all orphans and drifters, criminals and survivor. If not for the order we'd be dead, but they saved us and gave us a purpose."

"They should have just left me to die!"

Volt jumped forth in a bolt of light punching Loki in the face.

"If you are too weak to bear the burdens of being a shield for innocent life’s then hurry up and get to that pod before I kill you!"

"Shield?"

"A man once told me, he was the first person I saw once they brought me back, once I was among the living once more. He told me that I returned for a reason, and that my new purpose would forever hold me upon the right path. To protect the weak and insure the safe and honest future of the order. That was his wish, and for as long as I live, I shall be the shield of the weak and the pillar of the order."

"Why would you want to live for that? When everything is already lost?"

"Once you lose everything, you must stand again to find something to protect, something to believe and something to remember the ones you lost. To make their life’s count, do not waist your own."

Silence loomed over the room as Loki stared at him from the ground. Volt stood before him in the dimly light hall. In the training room the two swordsmen were finishing the clean up, the mannequins were thrown to a pile in the corner, only one remained undestroyed. The two sisters entered surveying the scene. The walls were littered with scratches and dents covered the floor. One of the walls had a massive crack in it. Ember stepped forth asking.

"Are you ok? What happened to you two?"

"Just a training fight."

"You could have destroyed half the ship."

Oracle interrupted the conversation between Ember and Excalibur. As she looked at the amount of damage the two left behind.

Down in the evacuation room where the two tennos stood. Loki gazed at the pod he was preparing. Then turned to Volt who was standing near the entrance.

"You really think we can make it?"

"If we dye, at least we would die for a worthy cause."

Loki sighed as he closed the pod and walked away. Leaving the room behind, Volt accompanied him as they waited for the elevator. As it opened, the little girl was inside screaming at them.

"Don't fight with your friends!"

She rushed into Loki, pushing him back a bit, as tears ran down her cheeks. The little girl was worried for them both. Since they saved her from the colony of infested back then, the child grew fond of all the tennos and saw them as family. They all entered the elevator and as the doors closed Volt placed his hand upon Lokis shoulder. The two horned tenno looked at him and spoke.

"To protect all we can, I'll agree to your orders, leader."

As the ship exited the warp, they were in a new sector in space, Epsolon Eridani, a small star system, with merely three planets, the system contained several asteroid belts. Taking no chances and remaining stealthy, the ship descended into the shadow a nearby asteroid, it was the biggest one nearby, yet it covered only a bigger part of the vessel. Frost and Volt were seeing the Rose handlers team off, as they were preparing to return to their operation sector and attempt to convince the handler to aid them. Ember and Oracle exchanged one last hug before separating again.

"This time, we'll stay in touch."

"Make sure you don't let go of your man, good ones are hard to find these day's."

"What?"

"You know what I mean sweetie."

The two let go of each other and the ship of the friendly team left the hanger, heading for the jump sectors. The artificial gravity field allowed them to stay inside while they watched the ship take off.

In the mean time Loki was in the training room, fixing the mannequins. When Excalibur stepped in, he looked at the man’s work and spoke calmly.

"Seven of the broken ones fixed, and I thought they were all junk."

"I used to be a carpenter in my colony, yet little help that made me."

"We all had our trials, not all were as lucky as others."

Loki stood up with a small doll in hand, that he made from the remains of the other training posts that were broken. It was a well crafted doll in the shape of a tenno. As he left the room, Loki turned his head and gazed at the warrior near the entrance.

"By the way, thanks."

"For what?"

"For everything."

Leaving the room he was soon met by the little girl they saved from the storage house on the waist planet. She smiled as he handed the doll to her. In a way, he felt as though he was home once more.

As the rouge tenno group entered a new system, a ship descended upon the jungle planet that they left behind. The ship approached the dawning village that was under the cults control, once it roared landing and crushing a house beneath it. A black leg stepped out of the vessel, the boot was covered with red stripes. The cult finally exited the underground colony and gazed at the glimmering dragon in front of them. The figure was shady, the light bouncing off the ship only cased a shadow. The shape appeared familiar to a tenno but had three pairs of spider like spikes peering from its back. The figure lashed its hand and a long blade slid out of its back.

The renegades in the ship were busy preparing for an assault on a nearby Graneer ship. The supplies were dropping, and finding some information on the current events in the galaxy proved needed. In the conference room they neared a conclusion on the expedition, five of the tennos would take the small ship in the hanger and infiltrate the graneer carrier’s, an artifact was rumored to be in the possession of the flag ship in the outer rim of the sector. A general and several lieutenant forces were the expected opposition. Excalibur and Ember volunteered to go with Volt, Loki refused, asking to remain on ship as a safety precaution, Ash was still recovering his suit from the over usage, he spent the first quarter of the cycle in a hibernation sleep, replenishing his strength. With Rhino still in treatment, Frost and Nyx were the remaining members of the party. Once a meeting place was established, beyond the asteroid belt in the shadow of a nearby planets moon, the team of five prepared to board the scout ship and fly to the next destination. The small ship was completely emptied and prepared for a small pillaging campaign.

Once the team left, the main ship began to slither away into the shadows, searching for a safer rout through the belt. The communications officer could only pick up graneer encoded signals in the area. The worlds were transmitting a slightly different frequency. It appeared that while some of the planets were docile and silent, only transmitting graneer frequency messages about shipments, the planet near the inner rim was sending out a signal different from the graneer messages.

As the small vessel neared the asteroids shadow the flag ship appeared before them. Without a signal guard ship, they were floating through the void. Once its shadow covered their path the tenno squad made hast to not waist this opportunity and infiltrate their radar fields. Upon approach Nyx sent out a blocking frequency that would interfere with incoming messages on long range, and block the radar from picking them up. Once the group reached the lower parts of the ship, Nyx remained to keep an eye out for any possible threats while the rest would infiltrate the ships inner structure and find the artifact. Once breaking in, they were faced with an immediate problem, the pressure change caused the alarm to go off and the shutters were beginning to close. X took to the controls while the other kept an eye on all the entrances in case some graneers would attempt an investigation. Once the controls for the shutters were hacked and everything closed, the doors opened.

Six marines were standing outside the room. Volt pierced one through the chest, spinning around his body and slashing the second ones head off. Frost punched the first soldier and gripped the others head crushing it in his hand, afterwards gripping his gun and shooting the soldier on the ground in his mouth. As Ember slathered the two soldiers in front of her, she became caught, as the sword was stuck in the armor. As she turned to kick the graneer aside, a sword sunk deep into his neck, acting upon reaction she gripped the blade and ruptured the soldiers neck ripping the blade out. As she looked back into the room, Excalibur was kneeling with his hand out, he threw the blade at the soldier behind her. As he stood up and approached her, the warrior held out his hand asking for his blade. A bit flustered the Ember handed it back and ripped the sword stuck in the bodies out. As they were about to leave a module rang, it was a call from the engineering section. Volt walked up to it and pulled out a small cube placing it on the top of the machine, before pressing the monitor to answer.

“What happened down there?”

“Just a malfunction, it’s been dealt with.”

After the call was closed the team split up and moved down the three corridors.

With Frost heading down the hall leading to the hanger, the path was dimly light and void of any life. Passing through the halls he noticed a guard room with two graneers working on the consol controls. Frost pulled a small throwing knife from his bag and flung it at one of the soldiers, charging in at the second guard, the blade sank into the guard’s neck and caused him to crumble to his knees. As he looked up, his colleague was flying over the controls at the wall, with the turn of his head he was gripped by his head and slammed into the floor. After releasing the soldiers head, Frost punched him in the chest, cracking his armor and crushing the body within. Once the soldier behind the controls stood up, the hands of the tenno gripped his head, crushing it in his hands. With the dead guards, the tenno pulled their remains to the locker outside of the doors view. After hiding the body’s Frost closed the door and began hacking the controls.

Volt made his way through the metal beams on the ceiling to approach the elevator. The guards were patrolling the floor, the remaining soldiers on the lower section of the ship. As he reached the door of the elevator, kneeling on the beams above, he waited for the graneers to leave the entrance. The soldiers remained stationary without leaving the area. Pulling out his blade, Volt prepared to leap down, but as he was preparing to assault the guards. He noticed the troopers begin to tip as they fell to the ground, the two soldiers were bleeding. Leaping down to the wall and stabbing the wall, he slid down and landed near the two bodies. They were both stabbed in the exact location where the hearts would have been, there was a very slim and narrow hole punctured into them. Glancing at the floor there were no blood spill marks and no struggle marks were noticeable on the guards. They looked as though the two dyed in their sleep, they didn't notice the killer appear. There were only a few tenno models that could achieve such accuracy, yet why would any tenno aside them be here. Leaving the bodies on the floor Volt called down the elevator, whoever killed them definitely too it to reach a higher floor of the vessel.

Down the other hall, Ember and Excalibur were on their way to the Orion artifacts signal. It was hidden in the lower end of the ship. Sneaking down the hall they encountered a room filled with graneer guards, as one group left on a patrol, there were seven remaining guards. Two were nearby standing behind the pillars, after that there were three others rotating around the crates, while two others were standing near the other two exits. The pair began to move forward silently avoiding the enemy's sights. Slithering behind the pillars, Ember drew her blade along the guards neck with great speed, leaving a shallow cut that began to gape as it was a clean slice through the neck. As she moved forth, Excalibur thrusted his blade into the chest of the guards and pulled it up slicing him open. The two quickly rushed to reach the crates before the other guards noticed, Ember stabbed the guard pinning him to the crate, the door to the hall was nearby, the posted soldier noticed her and pulled his gun forth, but she stretched out her hand and the finger tips became covered in fire. The guard near the door was wearing a helm that quickly burst into flame on the inside burning his head as he crumbled to the floor. Excalibur thrusted his katana into the head of his enemy, pulling it out he gripped the dull edge of his sword and with two fingers twisted it around. As the blade was in the air near him in a straight line, it floated horizontaly, pulling his palm to the dandles end, he slammed it sending the blade at the guard stepping out from behind the corner. Piercing his chest the tenno gripped his blade and slashed the guard apart as he turned to the final soldier at the door holding his gun. With a flash of light Excalibur left his place. Ember stared into the eyes of the pinned marine and slammed his face with the palm of his flame covered hand. The temperature quickly burned his skull killing the marine in place. The streak of light leading to the final guard stopped as Excalibur stood there inches from his face. The guard slowly turned his head down, the numb feeling came over his body, the trooper was stabbed in the chest, with the blades sharp edge facing up, X pulled the blade up slashing the body apart. With the guards killed the two tennos quickly silently left the room.

Volt was standing in the elevator, he reached into the pocket of tools he had and pulled out a small disk placing it on his chest. Within seconds the tenno was quickly camouflaged and beyond the vision of the cameras and enemy soldiers. As the doors opened he was gripping his blade, yet he froze in the motion as he was facing a blood filled room, the floor was covered in blood and bodies of the graneers. Something had walked through this heavily guarded area. Carefully moving across the room, Volt gazed down the hall that had bodies thrown about. Hiding was clearly not necessary in this ship. Yet without any idea of who was to blame for it, it was best to keep a low profile. With those decisions made he made his way through the halls observing the bodies on the floor. They were shot, sliced and pierced. The confrontation of such a murder scene was pressuring him. Was there a war aboard this ship, or was there a tenno group working here.

Frost slowly searched through the computer system, looking for maps and information. The area and maps were quick to find, yet the security system in several parts of the ship was unresponsive. There was a video of strange contents that he found. Within it a room filled with guard were shooting down the hall beyond the vision of the camera. They were pressing at something, but as they ceased fire to look at the devastated room. A series of shots began to pierce them, a long spear like vine reached out from beyond the cameras sights and snagged one of the soldiers piercing it and flinging it at the group. A fluid was quickly shot at them. The camera feed stopped after that, aside from this strange sight, there were several alerts sounded throughout the ship. Frost recorded as much data as he could and exited the room. Following through the hall further into the darkness, he reached a small room where he noticed a few dead bodies corroded by acid. The graneers soldiers were pierced and shot. This path was already taken by whatever killed the soldiers within the cameras video. Slowly advancing, he noticed a ventilation shaft opening in the ceiling. It was also slightly covered by a few scratches. The floor had a few clear markings of a tenno arrival, yet the marks were much darker and had a slightly malicious energy about them.

Frost inspected the bodies around him, the toxin he found had similarities with the Orders controlled planets plant life. The plants that were used to make potent toxic acids. Yet there was a slight difference, the natural form had pure acidity, it was created as a poison, but this was far stronger, slowly eating away the metal around it. The toxin proved to hold some synthetic markings, it was also infused with unique ions that were forcefully increasing its strength. Leaving the melting bodies behind he returned to the room where the entrance marks were found, it held a few strange markings of its own. As Frost jumped up to take a look along the vents he noticed a clear path, to a small entrance vessel. Letting go of the rails Frost returned to the monitoring room he was in before. Attempting to gain access to the upper levels security feeds.

Ember and Excalibur were nearing to their target, the Orokin artifact at the other end of the ship from Frost. They were nearing the vault where it was held, as they noticed the patrol group from before, they were returning after a rotation of the ship. There was a small hallway between the pair and the vault. Using the area to their advantage, Excalibur started to hack the control module, as soon as the guards entered the hall, he closed the door behind them. The soldiers didn't think much of this, till in the lower passage of the hall they saw the two tennos. Ember waved to them as the door between them slammed shut, The soldiers quickly charged forward but as they climbed the stairs the marines were struggling for breath. On their knees the patrol crawled to the door, scratching it as the last bit of air was pulled out of the hall, as they lost consciousness the air pressure continued to drop till the only remaining gas was within the soldiers bodies. Bursting from inside the guards exploded, as the two tennos circled around through the other passage in the room before where they killed the other guards.

Volt gazed through the halls and tunnels filled with dead soldiers. Whatever passed through left a clear path to follow. Along the walls there were several bloody prints and splatters. The rooms were ether destroyed or locked behind broken panels. Slowly making his way through the rooms, he found traces of explosions and rockets, the graneer heavy infantry and generals were pinned on the walls. Volt examined the corpses, they were speared with pipes, the walls were punctured and the corpses were all pierced in their chests. Volt was quickly distracted by the sound of gunfire and screams coming from down the hall. leaving the dead bodies alone, he quickly rushed to the entrance of the room, staying cautious he chose to see what was going on from the vents above. Slowly crawling ahead, Volt saw from the rails above a body being flung across the room, the door from where he came led to a room that was surrounded by entrances from every side and floor. He could see several groups of soldiers running in as they began to fire upon whatever was attacking them.

Frost accessed the video feeds from the control room, the guards there were all rushing to the elevators preparing for a fight. They knew that someone was attacking them. Cycling through the cameras he soon found the video of the room that Volt was above of.

"What the hell?"

He spoke as his stare at the screens grew intense.

In the depts of the underground cult colony, the streets were littered with blood. The tenno figure made its way to the halls below where the shrine was. As it opened the door, guards arrived in an elevator prepared to fight the menace, the dark figure chuckled as it flung its palm over the shoulder, it walked into the dept uninterrupted. The guards chased it as they ran to the entrance of the shrine, the guards slowly began to slow down and as they stopped blood began to flow from them, as though they were all cut. The doorway was littered with diced corpses as the tenno reached the temple. The old man in charge of the cult began screaming his lungs out at it.

"Blasphemy, thou are not the messenger of the goddess. Thou art the child of sin!"

"Oh, cut it gramps."

The voice of the figure was alluring and deep. A feminine voice that would sink a man’s heart.

"Where’s the vial you old creep?"

"Thou art too late, to serve your master. The goddess hast taken it with her."

The old man coughed as blood began to rush through his throat, he fell to the ground choking on his own blood as the figure turned around and left the room. The tenno pressed its helm and spoke.

"The compound has been taken, what now?"

"Contact Riptide and return to the vessel."

The voice that answered it sounded familiar.

While Ember and Excalibur circled around, they found the rest of the lower section empty. As they approached the entrance to the vault, the rooms upper floor was guarded by two marines and a heavy trooper on the main floor. Sneaking in through the metal grates above, the two quietly pulled the marines aside by slighting their throats. Once the heavy trooper was singled out, he began to grow weary, without any of his alleys in sight. Jumping up to the ceiling X descended upon the soldier from above and pierced right through his chest, the blade slashed through his ribs separating the spine and paralyzing the guard. As he crumbled down, Excalibur pulled his blade out and swiped his blade aside while turning around, he cut the guards head. It began to separate and fell to the ground rolling to the door near the rooms end. Ember stood at the controls of the vault opening the security system and pulling out the artifact. Once it was taken, the tennos left the room, on their way to the exit. As they entered the room before the door that they sealed killing the patrol was opened. While they approached to take a closer look, footsteps echoed from it. Readying their weapons they looked at the hall, Frost rushed out of it in their direction.

"Frost? What are you doing here?"

"There’s trouble, you two get back to the ship and guard the entrance. I'll destroy the Engine core and return immediately."

Excalibur looked at him and turned to Ember.

"Go, I'll aid him and be back in seven micro cycles."

"Stay safe."

She whispered as they separated with Ember heading back to the ship and the other two running to the further end of the vessel to the engine room.

Volt was closely observing the situation bellow, the guards were lining up and quickly murdered by whatever was inside the room. The guards began to retaliate locking the door behind them, as Volt pulled the rails up and peered his head to gaze at the figure within the room. At the far end of it near the stairs of the platform, slowly climbing forth stepped a figure. It had a dark body, with green and red stripes along its suit. There was a long tail like whip leading out of its back, it was thin and had the dark red glow to it, this light was similar to Anubis, the tenno that they faced before. This figure was moving to the center of the room with each step closing in to the doors across.

"There’s no point to hide, I can see your there."

Volt quickly became fearful of this figure. It was a tenno but not one he had seen before. As Volt pulled back and picked up the rail to put it back into place, the crates of the room bellow banged, and a graneer soldier jumped out, wielding a shot gun it aimed for the dark figure before him. before the soldier could pulled its guns trigger, the marine was quickly silenced by a whistling cut. With a flash the tail sliced his head and left the body falling to the ground. The figure then stepped forth piercing the crates with its tail, and harshly ripping out a soldier from behind them. As the tail pulled the dying corpse closer, the dark figure asked it.

"So now, where is your chief. My master has unfinished business with him."

"To hell with all of you Tenno scum!"

The dying man screamed as he pulled out a granade and pressed upon it. The explosion trembled the entire room, but the dark figure remained unmoved, it simply waved the smoke away with its tail and coughed.

"What a useless pawn."

Volt quickly moved the steel grates over the gap they were from, but as he was about to place them it slipped from his hands. and the sound of bashing metal echoed through the room bellow and the ventilation docks above.

"Well, well, an uninvited guests?"

The dark tennos tail shot up at the rails, piercing the one Volt had just dropped, jumping back with shock, the tenno in the vents began to run to the entrance he had used. As he rushed through the shaft, the tail pierced every peace of the vent that he passed, as it punctured the floor in front of Volt, he jumped around it, slicing the tail with his sword. As it retreated, the dark shape bellow screamed as it seemed to feel the pain. Lashing out he began slicing the vents with his tail. With the floor collapsing Volt fell into the room down below, as the figure noticed him and lashed out with his tail, the blue tenno rolled out of the way and jumped through the door, shooting at the control panel, the entrance quickly closed as though an emergency shutdown. Quickly retreating to the ship Volt left the locked room with the dark shape furiously lashing out at the door that he had closed behind him, Volt made sure to strike every doorway with his sparks to force an immediate shut down, slowing down the enemies approach. Once the enemy was beyond the walls and out of reach, Volt found himself in the middle of the ship, there was a huge drop to the lower sections, but the only passage were two long bridges crossing over the gap. He stopped for a moment to think of a plan to slow down the dark tennos approach. Volt placed six explosive charges at the end of the bridge and rushed across. As he was close to the other side a graneer armor wearing figure stepped out from the shadows wielding a shield and sword.

The pair of tennos heading for the engine, were forced to cross several cooling stations. Frost sent a cold wave freezing the floor beneath him as he sled beneath the pipes, Excalibur jumped from wall to wall leaping over them, kicking off the pipes to stay in the air. As they arrived to the engine room, the guards quickly noticed them as they rushed in through the door. Frost punched the nearest guard sending him slamming into the group ahead, Excalibur leaped from the platform near the entrance and with his blade pointed down pierced the ground sending spear like shreds peering out of the floor impaling the soldiers around him. The ice wielder leaped to the second floor landing near a guard, gripping his rifle and ripping from his hands, he punched the marine to the hole leading to the floor below, as the guard fell to the spikes of X's ground slam. Frost stood up and gazed at the remaining guards on the top floor and began shooting the rifle at them. The bullets slammed the heads and armor of the guards caving in and leaving the guards collapsing to the ground. Excalibur spun around the engine core that was shielded by the sphere covering it, Excalibur thruster his blade piercing a guard that was taking cover behind the core. Slamming his hand over the control module, the sphere began to separate as he charged ahead to the guards ahead, slashing them apart a body fell from above as he slid along the floor, he sliced it along the spine and left the dead corpses behind. Frost was running out of ammo as he threw the gun away two guards charged him, he swung the fist slamming the nearest one, the body rose as the punch rose from the floor. With his other hand Frost grabbed the other guard and punched right in the head as the shock wave blasted the back of the guards head ripped open and splattered over the floor and walls in the side, he spun his leg kicking the guard in the air and sending him over the rails, the grenades in the guards belt ripped from its hold and Frost threw the guard in his hold at the wall. Ripping the belt with explosives from him, the ice wielder slid forth along the ground grabbing the falling grenades and sliding under the rails to the sphere of the core, that was now exposed. Frost slammed the belt into the core and activated the grenades leaping back out of the blast radius. As the tubes shattered the two tennos nodded and rushed back to the ship.

Volt face standing face to face with an angry enemy that was wielding a shield and blade combo. As the graneer charged ahead, the electric wielding tenno jumped back over the edge of the bridge, he gripped the pipes beneath and flipped over the other side of the bridge and kicked the soldier back, as he noticed the tenno appearing over the other side, the graneer blocked with his shield. Pushed back a bit, he quickly lunged forth with the sword. Volt jumped back, flipping and landing on the ground, as he sent out a shock along the floor. The soldier was shortly paralyzed but quickly stood back to his feet.

"Is that all, I'm amazed you managed to defeat all my troops with such poor skills."

The soldier spoke as he pulled up his shield and charged forth. Jumping up Volt placed his hands upon the graneers shoulders and leaped over him pushing him back into the middle of the bridge. Volt clenched his fist as sparks began to flow along the outside of his suit, he slammed the ground punching it, the shock was much greater and it even knocked the graneer down stunning him for a short moment. As Volt rushed to the other end of the bridge getting ready to place the explosives. He looked back and noticed, the dark tenno from before chasing him. He was calmly approaching the bridge before him as he noticed the figure on the bridge besides Volt. The graneer was standing back to its feet, with a blood curdling roar he jumped forth at the tenno. The dark one quickly charged at the graneer on the bridge, as he passed the entrance to the path across the gap. The dark one noticed the bombs placed around the passage. As Volt slammed the explosives into the rails beneath, he punched a hole and hooked the belt of explosives in the hole. Gripping his blade, Volt quickly realized that he was losing control. As he watched the graneer charge at him, the vision quickly was blocked out by a dark screen with green letters writing over it. The helms system was spelling "Limit breach: Blade shot", the vision slowly came down as Volt felt the suit force a motion to him. It was fast, his fingers gripped the blade and calmly waited through time as it clenched the blade at his him the hold was slightly shifted by a few degrees and the blade quickly shot up almost rupturing the muscles in his body. Once the control had returned the vision was clear, and the graneer standing before the tenno was motionless, he slowly stumbled back barely holding his feet. The soldier lost hold of his shield as it fell to the ground the bulky shield that he couldn't dent fell to the ground separating in the side of the plate. It was cleanly slashed, as the soldier let loss the blade from his hand the sword was cut diagonally and a large gap began to take a red color to it in the soldiers armor. Falling to the ground the graneer was cleanly sliced in half. The dark figure stood back in shock.

"NO!!!"

He yelled as he rushed in at Volt. The electric blue tenno jumped back and patted his shoulder as the explosives detonated and the bridge began to crumble. Volt was across the deep fall, and the bridge began to fall with the dark figure upon it. As he fell the figure tried to grip the walls or the bridge below, but as Volt pulled out his pistol and shot the tail it sliced the bridge and fell to the debts. Volt walked away as he gripped the arm that pulled the sword, it was pulsing in pain from the exerted force of the slash. He quickly made his way to the elevator leading to the floors below.

Once the group gathered at the ship, everyone was ready to leave the vessel. After boarding the scout ship the group quickly escaped as the flag ship lost all its power and began to drift to dark space. The team flew away to the asteroids, crossing them to the planet beyond the belt.

In the depts., of the flag ship the dark figure slashed its way out, as the tail pierced the ruble and he climbed up.

Aboard the tenno main ship the doctor was working on a few experiments to see how the antidote is working against the poison in Rhinos body. It showed surprising results as the toxins retreated and began to be flooded out of his system. Within a few cycles he would be well enough to move again, yet when he would regain consciousness is a different question. But that should be left to the suit, as the biotechnical armor would take priority to recover the body and soul of the tenno. While the doctor was noting down his findings, there was a slight brushing noise coming from the nursery, where the new tenno was recovering. With Ash still in stasis and Loki keeping an eye on the ship, patrolling periodically. Orchid and the captain were investigating the star systems activity and would not come down to the nursery. The old man pulled away from his desk and walked to the door to take a look, he figured that the little girl was passing by or someone of the crew were there to take a look at the unique suited tenno. Along the way he passed the pod with Rhino inside and turned to him for a second to inspect his condition, the body was recovering well and he seemed to have stopped rustling around from the pain, the wound was healing well and no long term damage was yet to be seen. As the doctor continued to the nursery he entered a dark room with curtains surrounding the few beds that were there. As he reached along the walls and pushed the light switch the room soon brightened up. There was no one there to be seen, so the doctor continued in the direction of the bed where the tenno was left, as he reached it and pulled the curtain aside, he found the bed empty, the tenno was gone. Startled at the sight the doctor grew concerned and was about to call for the crew to help find him, but as he stepped back a figure pressed up to him, gripping the man by the neck and holding a surgical blade at his artery.

"Where am I?"

The old man turned his head to find the tenno with the oval ring over his head threatening him. The tenno tightened his grip and demanded an answer.

"Your aboard the Orders vessel."

"The Order? Why am I here?"

"You were released from your stasis chamber and placed under medical care until you awake."

The tenno did not seem to know what the Order was or why was he even there. This caused the doctor to think that the unfinished bonding process might have damaged his mentality, perhaps causing memory loss. While the two stood there the door to the nursery opened, Loki stood there pointing his gun at the tenno that had his back turned to him.

"Let go of the old man."

"Who are you?"

"I'm Loki, and I'm a tenno just like you. So let go of the doctor or I'll put you in a small metal box leaving through the garbage shoot."

The new tenno turned to him and pushed the old man into Loki, while dashing through the door into the other room. After the two horned one helped the old man get back to his feet and told him to lock up, he saw the other tenno rushing out of the room down the hall and running in the direction of the bridge. Loki leaped forth after him, on his way he called the captain.

"Yeah, the new guys awake, tell the crew to stay out of his path, Orchid attempt an over ride on his suit."

Loki chased after the strange tenno into the cafeteria, where he began flinging anything he could get a hold on. The tenno didn't seem to be familiar with the suits capabilities or even able to use them. As Loki avoided them he kicked the tenno at the wall, after smashing into the chairs beneath him, he was caught by Orchids signal.

"Tenno, you are in the safety of the Orders ship, there’s no need to be alarmed."

"Who are you people, and what’s with this tenno bullS#&$?"

The ring decorated figure climbed out of the wreckage and escaped the room. Loki was quickly contacted by Orchid.

"The tennos armor class in Void, but he seems to have cerebral complications. He doesn't remember anything about the Orders training or ever being placed in that suit. It seems the armor blocked bits of his memory to properly repair the functionality, he isn't able to use any of his powers yet but if this continues and he finds out about them, the crew might be in danger."

"Understood, but can't you initiate a lock down, or anything to stop him."

"The suit seems to have not been able to restore those functions."

Loki chased after the figure till they entered the hall on the other side of the ship across from the med bay. The crew left several crates they were moving in the middle of the hall. The Void teno jumped over it and kicked it in the direction of Loki, as he leaped up to avoid the impact. The tenno noticed that the little girl was in the middle of the hall, in the crates way. Without even thinking the twin horned figure phase shifted with the girl, and immediately traded places again, but this time with the Void tenno. As the crate slammed into him knocking the figure back, Loki caught the girl before she got hurt. After lowering the child on to the ground, the twin horned tenno pulled his gun and approached the knocked out figure. As he was about to stand up, Loki stepped on him and pressed the tenno to the ground.

"Now will you calm down, or do I have to make a hole in that helmet of yours."

The Void tenno surrendered and was forced to follow Loki to the command room where Orchid was waiting. After a brief explanation of the situation by the handler, she explained the condition of the tenno and why he couldn't remember a thing. It was clear that as soon as the suit would be able to completely recover the body the mind would be reconstructed and sorted out as soon as possible.

"But what if I don’t want to be a part of this?"

"I'm afraid that isn't an option, as soon as you have begun bonding with the suit you have lost partial humanity. Your life span has been altered and you wouldn't be able to survive without the suit for more than a week. The energy that the suit uses is infused in to your neuro system and has become an addictive form of energy for the body. Previous attempts by other tennos to reject the suit ended up in tragedy, as they were at best dead from rejecting food and basic fluids. As a tenno you had to make that decision on your own, and because you did you have to accept what must be."

The tenno gazed down in depression as he wondered about his past. Orchid frowned as she returned to the task she had at hand before this. Loki left with the new tenno taking him back to the nursery. After this endeavor it was still questionable whether he could be trusted. Loki was still mad at him for endangering the child.

Descending into the asteroid cluster, the scout ship with the tennos aboard were followed by a small vessel from the flagship. The graneers were abandoning the ship and retreating in the same direction. It was lucky that the scout ship that was in the groups position was a graneer vessel. Avoiding collision the group broke through the belt and approached a planet in the sights of the scout ships screen. It was a gas giant, several graneer ships were there farming the planets gas to be used for production. The planet was treated like a giant green house. Surrounded by a net of stations constantly gathering the gas and shipping out in containers to the shipping station. The planet with the moon where the meeting was planed was further behind the secondary belt. This would have been the best location to stock up on resources, yet with the graneers currently on full alert, there was little hope for attempting an attack. While the group flew passed the planet and approached the second belt. The ship was left on auto pilot till they would reach the belt, while the team could discus what they found.

"The artifact seems to be a piece of a tablet that might be of value."

"Yes, but we're no longer under the direct command of the Order, so we can't make sure that it is of use. With that aside, we still couldn't leave it behind. Volt what was that thing?"

Frost turned to the blue leader while Ember held the artifact in her hands.

"A tenno, I believe..."

"Wait, there were others aboard that ship?"

Nyx was shocked that such information was not shared with the rest of the team, but kept to the two tennos.

"He didn't look like any tenno I've seen, are you sure Volt?"

"He was similar to Anubis..."

"The one that tried to kill us?"

He was quickly interrupted by Ember as she bashed the artifact on the keyboard.

"Hey, careful with that, if it breaks we ain’t gonna get a second one."

"Sorry Nyx."

The red flame apologized as she handed over the artifact to Excalibur to be placed under storage. As the swordsman placed it in a container under the first aid bench, he turned to the leader and spoke.

"Why would Lotus send her minions here?"

"We don't know, if he wanted the artifact he would have been able to get it before going up the elevator."

Frost explained as he remembered locating the ship on the lower levels as well.

"He was after the general, the captain of the flagship."

"What would a handler need with a graneer leader?"

Nyx questioned the intentions of the opposition.

"He wanted something the graneer knew, not what he had. As far as I know he would have killed him."

"So what happed to your arm?"

Excalibur asked again as he returned to his seat at the ships controls.

"That’s the strange part, the suit activated something I've never heard of. Something called Limit break."

"Never heard of such a thing, I mean I did hear where the suit would act on its own if the tenno is unconscious by accessing the neuro system and acting on survival instincts, but doing something on its own without any notice?"

Frost began questioning Volt, but was soon cut off by Ember as Excalibur pointed at a strange signal on the radar.

"We got a tail, someone from the flagship is after us."

"That aside, there’s a signal from the belt, there’s a graneer patrol nearby."

The two pilots were approaching the belt as they deactivated the auto piloting system. Frost and Nyx both took point at the guns while Volt searched for any useful data in the ships archives. There was an old recording of a previous scout mission the vessel was on, one where the scout did not report any disturbance or anomalies on their side. Pulling out the same cube Volt was planning to trick the graneer guards to letting them pass, but the tool was damaged in the fight with the graneer swordsmen. In frustration he bashed the cube on the side of the panel cracking it open. Once he pulled out the circuits and reconstructed the device, Volt connected it to the control panels insert and pulled up the recording. Contacting the patrol ship guarding the belt.

"This is scout vessel 2-65-48-z12, no unusual incidence spotted."

Cutting the recording at that part Volt continued using the reconstructed device.

"Requesting access to return back to the inner sector."

A cold silence came over the ship as the group awaited a response, the patrol ship remained silent for several minuets before sending a transmition.

"Access granted, carry on."

With the permission given and without the graneer suspicion the group dove into the belt avoiding any visual contact. The vessel that was tailing them seemed to have disappeared as they were out of its vision and it wasn't following so far. The group quietly made their way through the belt till they reached the inner part of the system, the other two planets were both closer to the sun, one was a dead and drained gas giant eaten by the sun, its remains were the only mark floating near the sun, proving that it once lived. The second planet was much closer to the habitable zone of the star system, yet it was a desert planet, with more land then water, there were several noted ice caps to be seen, but the size from their position seemed like a needle head. Approaching upon the planet the ship tailing them appeared once more. It flew the longer rout around the belt, as the tennos passed through, the ship was clearly chasing them. Thinking it was the dark tenno, the team quickly dove to the planet surface, searching for a place to hide in this desert storm planet.

Descending to the desert sand fields below, the tennos were approaching the planets surface. The ship following them, did not hesitate to descend to the surface. Escaping to the cliff the tennos dove into the caverns avoiding the tailing ship. The vessel chased them into the cliffs, diving out of sight the tennos dove into the dark caves to escape the chaser. The cave was big and extensive, it lead further to the underground, avoiding the chasing ship, the group flew to the depts as far as possible. When the tenno ship approached the depts. They were caught at a fork in the caverns, once stuck in the cave before five openings, they stalled for a few moments.

The vessel chasing them soon caught up to the fork they had been at. Stalling for a few moments the chaser took of through the lover right exit into the deep of the cave. The ships lights faded away in the cave, the floor bellow began to expel dust as a ship rose from the ground. The tenno rose from the sandy floor and lifted to a stable levitation above the floor, after a second the tennos flew up through the highest path. After the tennos ship left there was a small pulsing of light and a beeping noise from the floor, in the sand where the tenno ship had stayed there was a container with explosive fluids rigged to a bomb. The tunnel exploded colapsing the sand over it, burying the cave. As the tennos glided through the tunnels, they found a light coming from the end of the cave, once they were out the group found them self outside the cliffs, and a jungle like land was noticeable in the far horizon. Ember pushed on the thrusters to take them to the horizon ahead, there was a rumbling in the ground. The sand beneath them began to swirl and shift. Excalibur noticed some movement along the sands surface, as though a carp was swimming in the water.

"Volt, are there any Wyrm's in this sector."

The blue tenno at the commands panel began searching though the storage drive of the ship for any knowledge about the sector. As he opened a hologram screen and tapped a small blue cube, the star system they were in appeared displayed above the panel. With his hand Volt rotated the star system and taped the planet which they were on. The computer opened a page with a list of option of information about the planet. Pressing the tab with the name wild life, he was directed to a small encyclopedia about the planets wildlife, flipping the page from the jungle section he was looking at an entry of the deserts upon this planet. There was a picture of a giant Wyrm, a sand dwelling, mineral eating goliath of the desert.

"Sand Wyrm... Ember get us out of here!"

Bolting for the jungles at the rim of the desert the ship was bulleting through the sky. The ground beneath was unrest like a sea in a storm, a giant figure shot up just in front of them, Ember pulled the ship away to the side avoiding the beast. Frost and Nyx were opening fire upon the creatures attacking them from the ground. As more gathered the tennos were pressed out of the straight path, tilting away from the wyrms assault, the giant worm like creatures leaped at them from the right up ahead, climbing up the tennos were instantly attacked by a second worm leaping over the one beneath them. Diving to the ground the team was barely above the surface flying underneath the wyrms. As they were just about to escape the attack, a third worm shot from the sand in front of them. Ember pulled the ship to the right dragging it up from the surface of the planet, as the tennos dove out of the deserts surface. As they climbed up to the higher reaches of the desert, they were approaching the jungle. Once they were stabile in the air a bunch of wyrms shot from the sands spitting acid at the sky, the tennos span away from the fluids rising at them but as they dove down to avoid the other shots of acid from the worms. A wyrm with a great scar upon its side shot up slamming the side of their ship and damaging the engine. An explosion detonated from the impact, the worm dropped to the sand as the tennos began to plummet to the surface.

The ship slammed into the desert, sliding along its surface and spinning along its way. The ship rammed into the trees at the side of the jungle breaking through them and breaking into the hills beyond the trees. The broken trees fell to the ground, covering the carved ground beneath them, the ship was expelling a cloud of dark smoke. The wyrms soon descended under the sand and with time the ocean in storm calmed and turned to ice as the sands grew still once more.

The tenno ship upon the cult planet’s surface rose up and ascended to the sky, leaving a slother scene in the village beneath. As the tenno traveled to the ridge of space, the ship approached the cosmic rails secondary path near the sun and dove through shooting away in a bolt of light.

The fire consuming the path left in the ground, the crater from the crash, and smoke from the engines. With the tennos inside the ship slowly began to catch fire. Excalibur opened his eyes and gazed at the sparking controls, damaged from the crash, his seat was bent and a pipe had lunged its way into the room. As he pushed the chair back, reaching for his blade, the swordsman slashed the bottom of the seat, breaking it from the fixated floor. The tilted ship was filling with smoke, Excalibur made his way to the red tenno beside him, shaking her awake. Ember slowly awoke from the shock, gazing at X she noticed that the ship was severely damaged and they were pressed for time.

"Get the others, I'll be fine."

The tenno nodded and made his way to Frost who was just behind a caved in floor. Pushing the plate aside he found the pale tenno awake and breaking from his seating, cutting himself loss the ice wielder made his way across the ship to where Nyx was. Excalibur climbed the stairs to the control panel where Volt had been passed out on the table. He shook the blue one till he finally awoke from the shock. The visibility inside the ship was depleting rapidly, Volt stood back up and shacked his head looking at the floor beneath them. Ember stood up from the chair but quickly fell to the ground, the panels beneath the controls had dislocated her ankle, she shrieked from the pain as her muscles were stretched by the bones beneath them. Excalibur turned back to her and helped the flaming tenno stand back up leaning on his shoulder.

Frost turned around the corner and waved pushing the smoke out of his way, Nyx was still caught in her seat, but a broken rail had lunged itself into the side of her stomach, piercing the armor. The ice wielding warrior held her down, reaching for the tennos blade, as he cut the rail off, the pale one pulled her out of the seat and carried her to the door. Volt had broken it through allowing the air to suck out the smoke that had amassed within the ship. Rushing the others out, he took to the aid station, pulling out the case with the artifact, Volt then began to search for any medical supplies they would need. While searching through the cabinet, he noticed the controls sparking through the corner of his eye. Volt also noticed the readings within his helm. The gas levels within the vessel were rising, Volt slammed the ground creating a force field covering him from the entrance, yet he knew it would not be enough. Grabbing the medical supplies he reached for the artifact, yet the explosion ignited breaking through the force field and sending the tenno out through the door with the smoke, the ship was about to explode as he was coming back to his feet. In daze he was grabbed by a hand, it was Excalibur he leaped to the air over the trees dragging the blue suited figure out of the clearing with the medical supplies in hand. Once behind the trees the tennos took cover as the ship exploded spreading the shrapnel and remains of the ship through the jungle.

"That was too close for comfort."

"Close? We almost died in there, and Nyx is in critical condition!"

"Shut it, both of you!"

Volt yelled, breaking the argument between Frost and Excalibur. Throwing the medical supplies to them he sat beneath the tree, pressing down beneath the helm of his suit. The helm separated from the armor as he pulled it up, the gas from inside expelled itself, Taking the helm away from his head the blue tenno revealed his face, blue eyes, sparking with the suits system, the dark brown hair upon his head was messy and covered in sweat. The slim face was leading down to a sharp chin. He gazed at the team, with Frost preparing medicine for Nyx, Excalibur pulled out a small white sheet and handed it to Ember that was leaning at a tree. She pressed upon the side of her leg, separating the armor, pulling the legging from the dislocated leg. Beneath the armor she was wearing a dark red suit. Ember pulled off her helm, a long flow of red hair descended upon her shoulder as Excalibur handed her the blade he had take from her. The girl bit into the handle of the blade as the swordsmen gripped her ankle and pulled on it, relocating the leg. The girl closed her eyes quenching the pain, her lips surrounded the handle wrinkling as the pain slowly came over her body. Once the leg was back in place, Excalibur released the foot and took the sword from her mouth. Ember pressed the took the fabric from X and wrapped it around her leg, brushing her palm along the S#&$e sheet it began to harden. Pulling the boot back on to her leg, the red tenno leaned back to the tree relaxing from the pain, breathing deeply.

Volt turned his head to the side, Frost asked for Excalibur to press on Nyx's would as he pulled the rail out of her side. Pressing on the stomach of the tenno the blood was still slowly making its way out. The ice user threw the metal shard aside, he took several medical vials from the case and began operating on her. Once the blood flow was stopped and the wound was covered and bandages were around her armor pressing on the wound to keep her from stressing the body. Excalibur pulled out a small red vial from the first aid case and threw it to Volt. Catching it the dark haired man opened it and poured the fluid into his through. As he looked at the jungle beyond them, there was a figure looking at their group.
