Phoenix86
DE_Adam, on 23 Apr 2015 - 11:03 PM, said: Gradual Change: Diminishing Returns vs Pure Ability Immunity For those unfamiliar with the term, diminishing returns is when an ability become less and less effective against an enemy over time. When we original designed bosses and minibosses, a lot of them had pure ability immunity making your Warframe’s abilities ineffective in battle. We’ve slowly been experimenting with ‘diminishing returns’. Many bosses and minibosses in Warframe were affected by diminishing returns, including Captain Vor, Lephantis, the Grustrag Three, and more. Instead of being outright immune to crowd control these bosses will gain improved resistance to them with each successive use. This Update expands the number of Warframe powers that fall under diminishing returns to the new Bursas. With this change we will monitor power use across each Warframe to ensure that every form of crowd control is given fair play against enemies, whether the Ability is timer-based or relies on energy drain. *Requires further explanations* Will this affect all enemies? Even standard ones or only bosses? How this system can handle "binary skills" such as Bastille, Stomp, etc etc? I mean... either they are stunned or they arent. there cant be an "half way" Edited April 24, 2015 by Phoenix86

Erukyo
From what I have seen of their new corpus cash-bot, they will just flat out ignore those kind of abilities after a while. I've used Mind Control and Bastille on those creeps, and they didn't even stay 'held' for a third of the duration before breaking out and beginning to run amock. I would say they lasted maybe five seconds? And then if I tried again they lasted even less time (a lot less). Mind control would just wear off and bastille would just let them go wander off. Phoenix86
and does this apply also to standard enemy units? (ie: crewmen, lancers, etc etc)

xCaptainObviousx
I tried to mind control a Bursa, first cast was for 10 sec, the 2nd for 5, the 3rd for 3... then it was under 1 second. Edited April 24, 2015 by xCaptainObviousx

Lost_Cartographer
I'm sure the intent is to eventually spread the system to ALL units. It's no secret that the reason people can go practically forever in an endless mode is because they can indefinitely CC their enemies. Going for an hour(s) into endless modes isn't really how Warframe was meant to be played, and I think raids only helped highlight the issue of high level enemies. and why Tenno might find them easy. Going for barely 40 cause your abilities are not dependable within a game with so much grind and vicious RNG ? U really want that ? Now I don't know if it was a bug, but was playing Seimeni with my vauban moments ago - 20 waves barely ... cause 1/3 of mobs just walked straight through bastille and vortex unaffected. If this is some kind of "diminishing return" leak into normal gameplay I will be against it. Camping aside, this would just cut our time in missions by 1/2, thus increasing the grind - in case of void for example. Using 1x key to go 60min survi with dependable skills is much better than doing 3x 20 min with unreliable ones (using more keys, and they do not grow on trees). Nope. If this will look like that, then all my NOPE.
