Argoms
I'm kinda curious, is there any reasoning behind this?
michaelwii
Because buying one at a time would be screwing us over, and buying three at a time would be screwing over DE. That's according to a magic formula that's somewhere on the DE servers/developer's mind which you would have to extract yourself if you wish to examine personally :) Edited May 16, 2013 by michaelwii

You know, purchases add up. I happen to have exactly 6 platinum at the moment, while 2 slots costs exactly 12.
Aggh
So they can justify a wonky 12 plat price that almost always leaves you with left over plat :|
Dasmir
So they can justify a wonky 12 plat price that almost always leaves you with left over plat :| Riot merch logic: You have 974 RP but that champion/skin cost 975..
PhantomWay
So they can justify a wonky 12 plat price that almost always leaves you with left over plat :| well if you buy 10 slot (= 60 platinum), you wont leave platinum left over. However, that is only who purchased some platinum. With 50 starting base, you almost always have a left over... If they lowered to 10, probabily there should not be left over IMO. Argoms
Cause there are by far more weapons than frames? That still doesn't explain why weapon slots are only purchasable in pairs.

Loswaith
Its likely a marketing ploy like havign things be 3.99, and the like. It just doesnt break down into specific round numbers well, most virtual currency systems do that as it will occasionaly incentify you to buy more to use every last one. OR maybe they didnt figure people would want to pay 10 plat for a weapon slot. Edited May 17, 2013 by Loswaith
