taiiat
for reference, '3rd person' is someone else shooting it, and '1st person' is you shooting it yourself. when you fire Tonkor in your own hands, it makes a 'toonk' sound. that's alright. nothing special. it doesn't sound bad, it doesn't sound awesome. it's fine. then, you hear someone else shoot Tonkor. there's this Metallic layer to it, as well as the firing sound you're used to hearing. more layers, and i find a much more enjoyable sound clip in total... that metallic clanging just really makes the Weapon sound amazing. so as far as i'm concerned, it sounds 20x more awesome to hear someone else shooting it, than it does to shoot it yourself. and i'd love to have that awesome sound when i shoot it too. :(
Kthal
From your description, it sounds as if reverberation effects might be applied differently to your or other players' Tonkors. (This may or may not be exclusive to the Tonkor.)

(This may or may not be exclusive to the Tonkor.) same thinking also, a reverb cannot be heard if the shot and the listener are the same/too close Edited June 15, 2015 by 5h1n0k4m1
