We are neutral. We are neither evil or good. We kill the greneer because if we didn't they could take over the galaxy, but we aren't in the right since we do it to protect ourselfs and get profit off of it.

So we do it for our own agenda we are just more rightious then them. So I guess we are the good guys, just not comic book hero good.

Also yes we are crazy, sociopathic, monsters. Though we keep the Corpus, Greneer, or infested from taking a monopoly over the universe.

Tell your son that the Tenno's purpose is to keep balance. Not to destroy any side but to keep any side from destroying the other side.

To keep the greneer from killing the corpus persay, but also keep the corpus from killing the greneer.

Lol glad i didnt participate in Gradivus Dilemma sounds like some really jacked up S#!7

If you input the events of Gradivus into the precursors of all events after it, along with exsisting content such as Law of Retribution, it can all be traced back to those colonist's enslavement. For example, Enslave human colony > put them into the shipyards to work > creation of the second generation Fomorian Fleet > disctruction of multiple Tenno relays housing all factions (including infested, just look at the back room of the Red Veil room) > Lotus sends a team of Tenno against Vay Hek to avenge those who perished on the relays...all stemmed from the Tenno chosing the lives of a hundred Tenno over humanity.

Tenno are by no means right but they aren't wrong per se,  sometimes its a grey moral area not to mention its a game so unlike real life it limits out actions and responses. It depends on perspective, no one in this game is right even us. As the main character who's perspective of ourselves is twisted because we don't want to admit to our own wrong doings whether fiction or not we avoid the truth that your son with a fresh perspective so innocently pointed out. There are no heroes in warframe it is just everyone continuing the cycle of perpetual human error, violence doesn't solve violence and the game itself will probably never allow peace. What you should understand is that it is just a game don't let it change you or your sons perspective on real life ( like it had begun doing to you who should have recognized the moral horror of this and many other games ), and the only alternative is to stop playing ( your sons case never begin ), or change the game ( Concepts ) in my opinion. Though there are no set responses to a dilemma as many box themselves into believing but instead and infinite amount of solutions ( some will be better than ).

Yep, the Tenno do tred a very fine moral line...and we do at times fall on the wrong side. Though it is DE's design direction, they are trying to provide us no right or wrong option, but forcing players to pick the better of two bad outcomes such as Operation Tubemen. Neither option was clear, as you can either side with a villian to all Tenno who may be decieving you to risk everything for a cure to the infestation, or destroy the research out of mistrust for Alad V and possibly destroy the only hope of curing the virus.

The Tenno aren't really rightous, but they do have good intentions...its just that sometimes those good intentions backfire in our face such as Gradivus where the humans were enslaved by the Grineer empire, all for the sake of a hundred slumbering Tenno, or us tossing Alad V off the station resulting in an even more powerful infested force...probably going to regret the later a lot more than the former.
