Rexlars
I vaguely remember them shooting down this idea. edit: I'd enjoy one though. Edited July 16, 2015 by Rexlars
Aktriaz
No one would use it. Too slow and doesn't help kill the enemy faster; which is how you do good in warframe.
aaayu
I vaguely remember them shooting down this idea. I'd like a cover system into the game... For stealth reasons... Cuz crouching behind some boxes just... Aaaarrgh...
aaayu
Better... What if Warframe gets more tactical? Prolly lotta people would leave the game, but i wouldn't mind if it get more Tactical, more team play instead of a Saryn running around and nuking everything. I think it would add a extra life to the game... Just me thinking doe :/
RedEyedRaven
Parkour 2.0 kinda will include a cover-system... that cover will be movement and actually affect enemy accuracy.

rechot
they said they did not like the idea and wanted to be a fast paced third person shooter.
Scytze
REALLY!? Yes. Even now when you slide or wallrun enemy will get reduced accuracy.
RedEyedRaven
REALLY!? [DE]Steve shared a few WIP-vids on twitter and vine, and it seems that momentum and wallrunning decrease enemy accuracy. More interesting than just attaching yourself to some immobile cover to hide from fire, eh? Plus, what Scytze said. However wallrunning is gonna be more potent and interesting with Parkour 2.0 Edited July 16, 2015 by RedEyedRaven

(PSN)Fen_Integrum
I think it would be a good addition to the stealth element
RedEyedRaven
I think it would be a good addition to the stealth element Hmmmmmmmmm.... heavily depends on your Frame and loadout. It will however certainly contribute to 'Ninjas play free'

(PSN)DesecratedFlame
It needs a cover system if they are going to try to push stealth.
Cryptic_Dragon
This idea of cover was thrown out the window at a higher velocity than volt with dual zorens when this game became more like a horde game.
Acos
There is a cover system; if you stand behind terrain enemies cannot hit you. If you use fine-aim you can poke out of the terrain and shoot enemies, although you expose yourself. You can also crouch behind terrain to hide and then stand up again to shoot. Enemies line of sight is blocked by terrain as well, so sneaking behind things for stealth is entirely possible. If you're hoping for a 'sticky cover' system where you become plastered to objects and "not-so-blind-fire" at enemies then I will vehemently cry in rage against your idea and quit playing if such a thing is ever implemented. Which is an entirely reasonable response, I feel. Edited July 16, 2015 by Acos
Ov3rd0se
You don't need a traditional cover system to take cover. Cover is all over the place, but just be ready for the pace to be killed and slow down.
AgentScarlet
There are already enough objects strewn about the maps for you to take cover behind, if you wish. What the game needs is a mechanic allowing you to use non-hitscan weapons from behind cover. As it is, you have to step completely out in the open or you'll hit the cover object, even if the enemy (and not the object) is in your crosshairs. Bongever
Using cover for Stealth. Just run up a wall and hang from the roof using Parkour 2.0 to be stealthy. Think big!
