So does the electric Bonus combine with electricity already on the weapon? Meaning if I put an electric mod and toxin mod to make corrosive, would shooting through the shield increase the corrosive, or just add the electricity in addition, without impacting the corrosive combo.

It will only add electric damage, unless the weapon in question does splash damage in which case it will get combined.

I thought it combined regardless? Thus adding to corrosive damage in this case. It adds a combinable elec element to damage, and increases crit damage as well.
