Oh, the game very well could be amazing. It could be Game of the Millenia. But as long as Nexon is in charge of managing and distributing the game, it will fail. The rest could have been better, because it just felt a little too distanced from what Silent Hill kinda is... I can't explain the feeling... It just felt too... Farfetched. Okay, who am I kidding? As better as they could have made that movie, I actually slightly enjoyed it, but the story still felt a little BS'd. I agree, the movie wasn't HORRID but I get what you're saying .. the movie kinda took the game's psychological focus in storytelling and turned it into "OH HELL NAW! There is no Alice Redfield in the games, only Claire, so if this person's name isn't Claire, I'm going to stab a person.
