Boltor P, Soma P, Braton P Builds.

Question

Hi guys, after somewhat of a long break.. 2 years infact! I returned to Warframe last month. At first I was enjoying being back and farming some of the awesome new weapons and frames.

Since then I'm well back into the game and I'm asking for some advice on builds for what seem at first glance like fairly similar rifles. My personal favourite has to be the Braton for sentimental value but I kinda feel like it drops off in T3/4's. Boltor I've barely used but it looks amazing and Soma is decent but again feels like it drops off even though it's my "best" modded rifle.

Boltor P: Take off crit mods, add heavy cal, then put on appropriate elements

Braton P: Take off crit mods, optional (replace speed trigger with shred or vile acceleration), add heavy cal and appropriate elements

Soma P: Take off one of your fire rate mods and probably hammer shot too and put on appropriate elements

I would loose the crit mods from the boltor and mod for raw elemental damage. I would drop the fire rate mods or at least the speed trigger on the soma to get an elemental mod in there. The Braton prime is a jack of all trades sort of weapon with ok status and crit so that one is down to preference. It's all down to personal preference really but that is how I mod.

i didn't even notice that and i used soma prime forever.  Yes, it already fires quickly and you don't want to ruin your ammo.  Very nice post.  Short to read and with info.

For my Boltor prime I use it:

About my Braton prime, my builds:

And my Soma prime:

Remove crits on ur Braton & Boltor prime because this is useless. ;)

Crits are very good on Soma prime and on each weapons you can use HC, this is not a problem.

Charpie is great on Braton/Boltor prime on the other side I don't use it on my Soma prime because this is a "greedy" weapon. :D

A lot crits on your Soma prime, a lot status chance on your Braton prime (I love viral+slash damage<3) and full elementary on your Boltor prime with puncture. :D

Hoping it helped you Tenno.

If you need other builds I got a google doc within which I've shared all my builds and many links which are pretty useful. ;)

Point Strike may be worth keeping on the Braton Prime if you aim for the head. Procs caused by headshots get 2x damage on top of the headshot multiplier, which is 2x for a normal hit and 4x for a crit. So aiming for the head and critting more often can lead to more 8x * crit_damage slash/fire procs, which will quickly wear down heavy units.

And once you've installed PS, Vital Sense becomes statistically a better damage boost than other options, although you may still wish to leave it behind to have some flexibility with installing other elements.

Corrosive+Fire works very well against armored enemies. If you have FF, surprisingly so does Viral+Slash.

Once you have 3-4 CP auras running tho, direct damage weapons like SomaP and BoltorP become better options.
