DrakoBluewing Posted October 15, 2015 Share Posted October 15, 2015 Well they arent humans for sure since they can fit in different shaped frames(both male and female) so either they are "hermaphroditic amorphous blobs of technocyte" or they are energy, choose your canon XD. They are humans, humans aflicted by a mix of technocyte and void energy. The lore states they were the children in the Zariman ship, at least those were the first Tenno aside from Hayden. That does not mean they don't have shape shifting capabilities allowing them to fit in frames different to their original looks. The lore implies that without their frame they have an specific power they use, for example the first Ember was a girl who burned a soldier, and the first Rhino was a brutal canibalistic insane humanoid beast. I assume they have a human like form which resembles what they used to be, and when they put a frame on they take a shape similar to the one that fits it better. Proof of that is Equinox, a female frame which can switch to male in it's day form, also its arms are so thin in the night form it is not natural. Same with Nekros, his arms and legs are too thin. Like this guy: That our outer skin/armor isn't really armor it's something to protect the world from whats inside of us. As we all have the power inside us and the frames are just something that just contains it. That idea seems to fit the theme with the game as there are stuff in this game that points to some Buddhism ideologies. Which could imply shape shifting powers or the power to transform into energy beings. It is obvious they are made of flesh since they bleed. They could still have a human like form which they reveal when not wearing a frame and they change it to fit their frames.
