taiiat
Open Broadcaster Software is certainly popular. if you have access to it, Nvidia's Shadowplay is pretty damn great though. Edited October 23, 2015 by taiiat
TheOnlyWarBear
I myself tried OBS but It didn't seem to work. Perhaps its the fact that I have an AMD card.
ThePredicament
Can vouch for OBS. Nice and easy, just need to set it properly for local recording and it looks neat. Good qual and doesn't take too much resources.
Arachne.
is it fairly easy to use? i have no experience with any kind of comp software i will never use nvidia programs ever again, as the tend to ruin my ironically nvidia based razor laptop i lied, i might try shadowplay if i have access
ThePredicament
Very easy to use, the set up might be a little harder since you kind of need to get the sweet spot on settings (really depends on your hardware). Of course streaming (lower bitrate) and local recording (higher bitrate) is going to have quite a significant difference but there are profiles for it. All you have to do with OBS is select Warframe as the focus and just press record.

My frame rate for the recording is good, but is there a way for me to boost my quality? I'm not quite sure what to do.
ThePredicament
Really all about balancing out your bitrate, audio, and downscale. What's your current settings? Default? There are some neat tricks like letting the x264 handle the bitrate needed to get the quality you want, so it's sort of like a gradient slider for quality and bitrate instead of just bitrate. Again, really depends on how beefy your system is, can give you full details if you want.
