I Don't Get Nekros' Desecrate

So today i got into an ODD with Nekros. The enemies came and i started pressing 3 but all happened was invalid target. I was able to cast Desecrate only like 5 times why!? On the 3rd wave my teammates got sick of me and just left because i was basicly just staying. I was even looking at the enemies why couldnt i desecrate them?

I think you have to kill them first

Are you sure that the dead body is within range and that there is a body to desecrate on?

Enemies have to be kiled in order for this power to work.

From what you described, the enemies were still alive. They have to be dead, and their corpses still visible, for Desecrate to work.

not visible, nova`s MP makes them invisible on death, same with miasma, but still there and desecratable :P

If we're being a technical.... It doesn't have to be a whole body.  If a body gets cut in half, each half is desecrated separately.  I'm not sure how far this concept can be stretched (say for instance if you mutilated a body into tiny bits lol).  That piece of technicality aside, as mentioned, it was saying "invalid target" because there were no desecratable bodies (or parts) within the range of your power.

Make sure you also didn't reduce the range of your abilities by using Narrow Minded.
