Warframe Causing Cpu Drain

I am getting CPU spike which is causing major lag. I got everything set to low settings. Everything off. Framerate set at 30. And I am still getting an issue. I am running a msi p6n platinum motherboard with a nvidia geforce 9800 gtx. My processor is intel core 2 quad. Running Windows 7 ultimate with 8 gigs of DDR2 Ram. Can you please help?

It seems to be erratic on various tile sets regardless of enemy numbers.

It might be your internet connection. If you're noticing no in game frame rate loss, but still lag, it's gunna most likely be your ISP. Worth looking into.

Get a better PC.

 

No, seriously, if the problem isn't your internet connection, check the taskmanager if anything is running in the background that shouldn't be running, or maybe you even have a virus.

 

Edit: fixed a typo. Also, maybe your drivers are not up to date.
