Can someone please tell me how I am supposed to get past the stalker and put my husk into the machine? He just keeps spamming something and knocking me backwards.

Shoot the waves he throws at you. Shooting them makes them disappear.

Right mouse button fires a beam... They should have been a prompt somewhere, I was stuck at that point too.

you can shoot his energywaves. Just aim at them and press your left mousebutton

@Kthal you can't fight him during that sequence he is talking about, He can't die. Only way is to shoot his energywaves.

but seriously, DE should've put some indication on what to do because I just wasted 15 minutes on that part alone...

Yeah you can even use the beam when you first pick up the tenno, on the moon then and there is where de should prompt you because i believe the intention is you use the beam to attack the sentients to defend yourself. For me i thought i was left defenseless because you caqnt parkour, jump, run, roll, or use powers so i figured it was suposed to play out without any weapons

It's especially non-obvious if your energy color is black as you fire into the darkness. I couldn't tell that I was doing anything other than putting up my hand until I watched someone else do it on youtube.
