Dojo Downgrade Question

So I am a clan of one with a fully researched ghost clan but I've never bought any of the barracks because of the fact I wouldn't be able to afford research anymore.

Now that I can downgrade, can I build the barracks or do they need to be destroyed to downgrade?

For completionism, I wouldn't mind building all the rooms and downgrading to keep benefit of small clan. Is this possible?

No, you are not allowed to own the baracks but keep your ghost clan.

 

And this is more players helping players then actual feedback.

By downgrading, you destroy the barracks that increase your clan size(Tier) in the reverse logical order. But since you already are a ghost clan, then there's nothing to downgrade or any barrack to destroy.

 

The posebility for destroying barracks starts with shadow clan...

I understand that. I was hoping I could build the barracks and then downgrade, just to have the unique rooms. I could have worded my question better.
