This I have considered , and no matter what you play on you will run in to those squeakers at some point.

They cant simply because they wont, microsoft and sony cant be responsible for each others' players. How would an xbox player file a complaint for harassment from a sony player? You really couldnt, not without getting employees from both companies involved. Then theres bug support, thatd be a huge hide and seek disaster. Imagine a game breaking crash that only happens to xbox players when a sony player does a certain thing. Sony wouldnt be worried because their players wouldnt be affected, and the microsoft techs would be trying to find bad code and not even be able to look in the right place.

 

Wishful thinking, but it would just create more problems than anything.
