Bikerbud89
So I use bows they are my go to weapon and I make some fairly long distance shots when ever I get the chance And I'm wondering what kind of effect the heavy caliber mod has on bows before I try to farm it. 0 Coaa
It'll affect the accuracy a good bit. People who use it on bows prefer a mid-close kind of shotgun approach with bows and don't care as much with aim. It'll definitely add damage but if you line your head shots up very often it's best to skip this one.
0 RagingGrizzly
Only thing I see a difference on is the Paris Prime, not much else for some reason.
0 (XBOX)TheMadCash
Well it will mess with your accuracy. You will sometimes barely hit long distance targets. Some ppl use it on their bows. Others do not. I only use is on my Racta Cernos. Yeah it messes up my long distance shots but with the Racta Cernos, You wonna be at least mid range so your targets can get hit by the viral proc
0 taiiat
without Heavy Caliber, you can double thunk Weakpoints at basically any Range. with it, you can't. Weakpoint Crit Bonuses are far more valuable than Heavy Caliber for Damage. only use Heavy Caliber for either novelty or if you insist on using a Bow but are either not interested with aiming or are just bad with aiming. but as always, if aiming for Weakpoints isn't something you want or can do, don't use a Crit Weapon. 0 CampingSnake
Long shots will be a no goMid to close range will be what you wantAim for center mass, not the head, so if it careens off path a bit you won't missThat's only if you insist.Bows are crit weapons, aim for weakpoints. Heavy Caliber is kind of detrimental to the way you have been using it. Edited January 12, 2016 by CampingSnake
0 S0V3REiGN
I have a max HC and it's noticeable. The arrows will split (assuming you have split chamber) and makes long distance shots difficult. The arrows splitting does kind of work against crowds though. I personally don't use HC on bows, I did for a quite a while though.

0 OniGanon
Heavy Caliber most heavily affects the extra projectiles from multishot. At 10-15m things should be fine, usually. Beyond 20m, the accuracy penalty will really start to hurt.
