Question About Ironclad Charge

I'm interested in this mod, and I've seen that someone has made a build along with Iron Shrapnel to explode Iron Skin and deal some damage, but I was wandering this:

 

I've noticed that if I have Ironclad Charge and use Iron Skin, then I use Rhino Charge and go to menu to see my Ablities the HP of Iron Skin are increased. So I'm asking, does this increase the HP that Iron skin has in that moment or just the maximum Hp it can have? I mean, if a damaged Iron skin is at 50/100 and I get a 400& armor bonus from Ironclad Charge does it get the HP and be like this:

 

50/100 => 250/500

 

Or like this:

 

50/100 => 50/500

 

I hope I'm clear enough, but it's a faint hope.

The armor you get from Ironclad Charge makes your Ironskin better. Rhino's armor scales with his Ironskin, so more armor, more hp for it.

 

You have to get the armor buff from Ironclad charge before you cast Ironskin though.

Well.... no. You've already used IS, the amount of extra health it's given you is set.

So, once I've used Iron Skin, any bonus on armor is ignored and Iron Skin will use the value it had when it was casted, am I right?

If you apply iron skin, then use ironclad charge, use iron shrapnel to dispel the iron skin. Then recast while ironclad charge is still active (within the 10 seconds of using it)

But this now makes me wonder, does it mean that once the effect of IC is expired the Hp added to Iron skin will remain or do they disappear with it as well?

Correct. Any bonus you get after the initial cast (From Warcry or Arcane Guardian/Ultimatum, etc) will not be applied.

 

The Golden Rule: Charge then Ironskin!

If you cast Ironskin with armor buffs active, the hp of it will stay.

My initial armor rating is 577. if I use ironclad charge, I can get a 255% or more increase in armor. I cast my iron skin. As long as I keep it active (without dispelling it) I will keep whatever health increase I had when I first cast it.
