Sir_Alex_Traffo
I bought the mod and maxed it, so let's just skip the whole "it's too much of an effort blabla". What I want to know if anyone did the math and can tell me when, if ever is worth to use this mod. Thanks! 0 ranks21
just put it on your sentinel rifle, if they kill heavies quickly its worth it if not then its just another low level garbage. just remove all other damage and crit and elemental mods use only the bane mod. 0 Sir_Alex_Traffo
you maxed it, its worth it, if its not maxed, it isnt It's not that simple, as it must take something else slot, it's not like it can be better than any other mod. 0 Zyrgi
Here come the raw numbers: The formula for general damage calculation seems to be: (((Base+Base modifiers eg. Serration)+(%of modified base added from elemental mods)*Multishot)*Bane) Colored columns depict damage with Serration, Heavy caliber, Split Chamber and what-ever is written in the top row. It's just a general calculation, but as I have provided the formula above it's easy to calculate the speciffic numbers on weapons that don't use Heavy Caliber or any of the other mods. Edit: That calculation is for damage per 1 unit of ammo. Not to be confused with DPS. Edited January 23, 2016 by Zyrgi
0 OniGanon
It's not that simple, as it must take something else slot, it's not like it can be better than any other mod. It kind of is that simple. If you have at least one 90% elemental mod on your build, a max Primed Bane is better than another elemental mod. And with every Elemental mod you add, the relative value of the Bane mod goes up in comparison to adding another Element. Let's say the Modified Base Damage of a weapon is Z. You've added a 90% Elemental mod. Damage = 1.9Z Let's add another 90% Elemental mod. Damage = (1.9 + 0.9)Z = 2.8Z Instead of that second Element, let's use Primed Bane instead. Damage = 1.55 x 1.9Z = 2.945Z Primed Bane > 2nd Element. Primed Bane Vs: 2nd 90% Element ~5.18% improvement 3rd 90% Element ~17.30% improvement 4th 90% Element ~24.67% improvement
