Help Please

Hi , I'm new to warframe (i've been playing for a week) i recently made the boltor and was wondering if someone could advise me on what mods i should be placing on it along the road to maxing it. At the moment, i have really basic mods nothing too fancy. I was also wondering if someone could tell me where i can get some better mods the help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

For the boltor I like to run elemental damage. A good starting point would be the throw electrical and toxic damage in it. This will give you corrosive that helps cut through the enemy armor. Your basic Serration will get you a long way in that weapon as well. At low level you may run into ammo shortages so you could try a Rifle Ammo Mutation if you happen to have one. If not, you could try tossing an Ammo Drum in there and see how far the bullets last you. Once you get that thing up to higher damage, short burst firing will be your ammo savy ally.

Split Chamber

Shred

Infected Clip

Stormbringer

Rifle Mutation

well, the most basic build for the boltor for new players is: 

serration (not the broken one), speed trigger, infected clip, storm bringer, hellfire / cryo rounds and a split chamber mod if you have one

Serration is one mod you'd want to look out for. Basically its almost essential for every rifle you'll ever own.
