Good Dual Ichor Build With New Shadow Debt Mods?

Question

It's not like I'm going to use them actually, but I don't have much left in the game to be done so I like to upgrade my equipment and have it prepared in case I may need it.

 

Reading here and there it seems like Dual Ichor with the new mods are quite on top of the dual sword category, but I never even formaed them once.

Any build tips including the new mods?

 

I'm probably gonna stick to War/Broken War anyway, but it's good to have them ready, you'll never know..

^ I use this

 

the prisma dual cleavers are dope too with a pure slash build due to the limited mod space

Stance of your choice (I'd go for swirling tiger personally)

Organ Shatter

True Steel

Blood Rush

Body Count

Elemental Mod of your choice

Elemental mod of your choice

 

You can replace an elemental mod with life strike imo

Uhm, both builds are quite similar(the main difference is Primed Reach VS True Steel), but I notice you both are likely to go with a single elemental mod(assuming life strike is a must): is that viable even for a pure crit build?

Not really.

It works but it's extremely suboptimal.

The build you want to use is the usual (PP, 2 elements, body count, blood rush, zerker, organ shatter). Last slot is free: third element, reach, true steel, life strike and spoiled strike are all worthy candidates.

It works because it deals poison damage I guess. I personally prefer two elementals tho

with the 3x combo multipier you get 25% * ( 1 + 3 * 165%) = 148% crit chance, the bonus from true steel will increase it to 163%

no crit mods : 1+ 25% * (3  - 1) = x1.5 damage boost from crits

3xcombo+bloor rush+organ shatter : 1 + 52% * (5.7 - 1) + 48% * (5.7 * 2 - 1) = x8.436 -> 8.436/1.5 = 5.624 damage boost (<- crit mendatory)

+ true steel : 1 + 37% * (5.7 - 1) + 63% * (5.7 * 2 - 1) = x9.338 -> 9.234/8.436 = x1.095 damage boost (not much) but primed reach is xNumber_of_hits damage boost

basically i'm saying that :

element 1   <- adds most damage

body count

primed reach

blood rush

organ shatter

pressure point

berserk

element 2 / life strike <- adds least damage

 

and true steel is not worth if you already have blood rush + body count

 

edit based on Autongnosis's point below (+75% damage with viral is not really negligible :P)

 

tried without primed reach, I don't know how you guys can remove it from your builds (3-4m reach vs 0.5-1m reach)

Body Count is basically a must-equip now, if you are into some pure melee gameplay.

 

The benefit of increasing in combo timer is unparalleled.

 

and true steel is not worth if you already have blood rush + body count

 

Well, for Dual Ichor, as it shines in its crit potential, I am willing to sacrifice Primed Reach for True Steel just for more crit amplification.

 

But otherwise, Primed Reach is a very good mod for consideration.

This.

But you forgot to account for the combo element damage boost. For armourless enemies you'll go from +112.5% (assuming single element with max boost, which is +25%). If you go Viral the total boost is +315%.

And for armour it's even more important. The specialised elements (Corrosive for Ferrite and Radiation for Alloy) on top of getting the +75% damage boost also reduce raw armour by 75% before factoring it in the damage calculation.

So yeah, do not break elemental combos. Seriously.

Only single element setup that actually works is pure Toxin+Primed Bane of Corpus. That's amazing, particularly for Enhanced Shields sorties. Other than that - just no.

^ yea of course but my point was "mendatory crit" "true steel is just convenient on very low combo" "mendatory primed reach"

 

woopsy blood rush stack multiplicatively so the above calculation is a bit wrong with true steel

 

BUT you get 200%crit chance on 2.5 multiplier, all the above combo goes to waste

 

true steel vs nothing on 2.5x multiplier : x1.5 boost

 

on 3x : x1.17 <- already completelly irrevellant next to primed reach which can increase the number of targets hit by at least x2
