How Does Conversion Work Exactly?

I've been solo focus farming ever since the drop of 18.4.10 and I've began to notice that the UI at the end of the counter lies. When the counter says ~3,600 focus points, I actually get around 1,000 or so. When I first encountered this issue, I automatically assumed it was a UI bug (like the new tickbox for sorties) but when I left the mission, nothing changed. So, what's the deal? Is there some maths calculation I'm not understanding when it comes to multiplying a number by 6?

Seen reports of it being bugged whilst solo and not working.

I feel like there's still some bugs to be worked out, or at least they should give us a counter on our screens when the multiplier is active that displays how much focus we've earned in that period, and then add the x6 points when it ends. because right now, I feel like we don't even know how many points we're getting toward focus when we kill a single enemy.
