I've run about 40-50 Reactor Sabotages on the Corpus Sab on Venus. All three caches each time. No ship parts, no Nitain. A few Neurodes and Morphics.

You haven't even started with the grind...

Did a mission count for Mercury (where I got my first Xiphos part). ~68 runs excluding 2/3 cache runs (can't find them for reasons unknown).

For the tier 2 one, did Yam, Sedna. Indeed, Nitain does exist, but is probably at a 1% drop.

I remember seeing a datamined table, each Xiphos parts having 0.5% chance each... ;;

0.4%-0.5% is the standard drop % for most MMOs on epic-to-legendary drop rates of gear.

It is not an unusual percentage to see in most grindy games.  1 in 200 or 250 isn't a terrible chance.

I ended up just buying it with a 50% disc coupon. Grinding for landing crafts are just terrible
