sir_deadlock
We've all been in those engine rooms with hissing steam pipes and those areas near noisy machinery. The reactor rooms and the piston pumps. Maybe these areas should be considered noisy rooms where it's harder to be detected and harder to alert nearby enemies. If not the whole room, then perhaps an AOE around the noise producing object itself, like Banshee's Silence power but for props. The noisier the object/room the lower the perception. As a draw back, if there had to be one, maybe the noise could mess with our mini-map. Maybe make it limited to sight range only? voltocitygel
Good idea. Lately I've been noticing more and more changes in the environment and how it interacts with players. This would be a nice addition to the changes I've already noticed.
BlackCoMerc
Great idea, OP. I really hope DE implements something like this. They have some really fantastic maps - some of the newer stuff is gorgeous - and I would love to hear some ambient sounds and have it tie into the game play. That would be great.
