Chroma's Electric Ward gives you 100% of your base shields (at unranked) as bonus, just like a Redirection mod would do. Since Chroma's base shield is 100, that's how much he receives. Electric Ward gives 100% of the base value of shields, which is however much your frame has when it is unranked and unmodded. In Chroma's case, he gains 100 shields because that's how much he has to start with. Putting on a Redirection doesn't change that, so Electric Ward will always give 100 bonus shields to Chroma unless you alter your power strength. Which is why low armor frames will always have low armor now matter how much "This grants x% armor" you try, because 500% of 15 armor is still terrible and useless. Same goes for anything that increases health or shields. Just like putting a redirection on valkyr is kinda pointless (for purposes of using shields as defense), her shields are so low they will never get very high. You don't really use electric chroma for the shield increase anyway tbh. Shields are only there to amp up his vex ability, thats all. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
