Shadow Step not working with Redemeer

Title. It is active and unlocked. When I use the Redemeer it does not activate at all.

Are you using regular melee or the charged ranged shot, the glaive and redeemer dont activate shadow step on the ranged portion of their moveset wich is why you are better off using a different school (like madurai with increased slash/puncture/impact)

You realize you are meant to use a crit weapon?
5% crit isn't going to keep you stealthed.
Also you are using your 5 before expecting it to work, right?

pretty sure the gunshots from Redeemer don't have any Crits to them at all, so if you're trying to use that, use Maiming Strike so that you're atleast Critting.

come to think of it, with Redeemers' 5% Crit Chance, just always use Maiming Strike. without Maiming Strike you're basically going to be unable to Crit in any realistic sense.

 

if it still isn't working despite the much more reliable Crits(and you have Naramon Passives active in that Mission)... very strange.

As others have stated, you should really provide a bit more info regarding just how it is not activating.  Are you trying to shoot for crits?  Are you swinging it, seeing yellow and still remain visible? did you activate focus first?

Shooting won't activate it, as others have already said, so if you were hoping for some long range invis activation, lay that dream to rest now.

Redeemer's best attribute is the free shotgun blasts, which are silent.  If you want to use Naramon, I'd suggest another weapon altogether, something with a much higher crit % base.  Or at least a longer reach, like orthos(prime).

The basically instant full heal from a life striked charged shotgun blast is pretty nice too. It triggers off each pellet though so watch your energy.
