Spear gun suggestion

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.  Just got a what could maybe a cool idea for the spear gun.

Not sure if possible or if it would be good on gameplay but just the idea seem kinda cool to me. When you would throw the spear you have to go and pick it up where ever it bury itself from a wall or from a body of a enemy.    As I said  just a cool image that came up in my head but if its any good gameplay wise not sure.

I can see issues popping up if there are lots of items in the area, such as Excavator cores or zip lines. To counteract it, I'd personally vote for having the spear return to the player somehow.
