ShikaRoddy
Dear DE, Please increase affinity share range in Archwing missions, because 50 meters in vast (although completely linear and dull) space is beyond ridiculous.
DuckCat
Pretty sure it's actually 200m in archwing mode, but yes it does need to be increased. Not even the defense map is small enough to let players in the different rooms share affinity (unless they all hug the middle wall). To quote the U18.13 changelog: Quote The HUD now clearly indicates if you are within range of your fellow Tenno to gain the shared Tenno Affinity. This change will still encourage players to spread out amongst the map, but to also be aware of the shared Affinity Limits. The new indicator is great. In many normal missions, it does let us spread out far enough to make the gameplay more active and fun. But in missions where we are supposed to stay separated, the limited affinity sharing range doesn't make sense and the indicator is just a source of irritation. I've played multiple archwing defense missions over the last week where one player has stayed hidden inside the wall between the two pods without contributing. Of course, there could be various reasons for this behavior, but the first one that comes to my mind is affinity leeching. The archwing interception mission is still kind of playable for leveling purposes, if you manage to find a good team. Enemies there tend to stay together, so with a very coordinated squad it's somewhat possible to follow them around while defending all capture points. But on the defense mission, you can't afford to leave one of the shuttles for even 15 seconds given how vulnerable they are. So you have to choose between receiving two rewards per rotation or level up your gear. Surely, that can't be intentional?
