Because:

1. It was the weekend only a day ago, 
2. Support receives a lot of tickets, and
3. Today is a Canadian Holiday (Civic Day), and many like to take the Friday before off as well for an extended weekend to be with family, go camping, etc.

A bit of patience will do one wonders. Also, considering the nature of your request, you will likely have to answer several questions to prove that you are in fact the owner of your account in order to make sure the request is genuine and that your account has not been compromised.
