Clan Dojo Technicalities

I have really bad feelings about asymmetrical things when it comes to building things (Thanks Minecraft!) But I was wondering if to use a trading post does one have to actually touch it or can I place it on the ceiling or something like that? Like does it only have to be in the Dojo for me to be able to invite people and trade with them? Thanks for your time and input!

You do have to actually go up to the console on it to activate yes.

You can build more than one trading post if you want, if that helps you with you sense of balance. There's also a clan "Treasury" that looks nearly identical to a trading post with only minor aesthetic differences that you can build as well.
