Guys i'm a newbie. I only have around 50 hrs of game-play. I would like to know whether the Diriga sentinel is worth building since i've never seen it in game or heard any mention of it in this forum. Kindly guide me

Diriga is great for offense and crowd control. The trick is keeping it alive. It has piddly shield values, which makes it easier to kill than other Sentinels if you don't have some way of keeping it alive (Nekros health orb drops, Trinity Blessing etc.).

Personally, I like to take Diriga's weapon and put it on Djinn, who can shoot almost as far and has some decent shields.

At present, no. I like Diriga, the targeting precept does some neat things, but (especially early on) there's no compelling reason beyond mastery to use anything other than Carrier.

Diriga is a combat support sentinel, properly modded with its weapon Vulklok it can one shot a fair range of star chart enemies and is a very nice to have tool for anything defense related. Fitted with a Sweeper (prime) you can turn it into a very nice CC support sentinel. As far as pure combat support sentinels go it surpasses Dethcube and Djinn it is actually the best sentinel in terms of damage output. It does not offer much utility by itself though. People will tell you to use carrier because of the ease of mod sucking but you should not underestimate certain other sentinels as well.

Is it worth building? Yes, but probably not early on since you need to invest some catalysts and forma to make it shine.

As a rookie you will indeed want to get Carrier (Prime) first since you also will want its weapon Sweeper (Prime).
