Focus...where/how??

So I completed the second dream and thought it was really cool. But I use my Tenno in battle here and there and I get NO FOCUS. I watch the streams and notice that there seem to be sections of missions where focus becomes a thing but that has yet to happen for me. I've been using base Zenurik for a week now and....it'd be more fun if I could actually progress the tree. Anything I need to activate or something to start earning focus or is this some sort of technical "whoops?" Thank you Tenno!

do you have the focus lens attached to any frame or weapon when using it in missions?

How do I attach it to a weapon or frame????

Same way as a catalyst or reactor.

on the arsenal screen where you pick your frame and weapons, hit triangle on the item you want the lens on (i recommend putting on a frame first, you get the most that way) while on the mod screen, hit R3 and it will bring up the menu that lets you auto fill, potato and polarize. there will be an option to attach a lens there.

One thing that may be worth noting is that you will not get the "would you like to buy one" option when trying to install a lens you don't have like Forma and adapters.

The weapon or frame must be maxed first, and then you do in from the Arsenal.  Focus will only be collected while the thing is maxed, though using a forma will not destroy the lens.

So I equipped the lens to my Obee, but how would I acquire another lens? I'm asking purely out of curiosity since I won't be able to plat one if I want and what-not.

You can get lenses via market (plat), trade, or as Sortie reward

you can get lenses from sortie missions, trading with others and you can also buy greater lens' from the market for 40p

What they said. Only thing I can add is that once you chose the option to "replace" a lens it will destroy the installed lens to make room for the new.
