Question about name change

So I was thinking about changing my xbox gamertag to something else and I don't know if it automatically changes my in game name.

And sorry if this isn't in the right forum. I don't know where to put it.

No, changing your xbox gamertag wouldn't change it due to your Warframe account being a seprate account made.

Go to warframe.com and log in. In the upper right corner in the drop menu, go to account management > change alias.
It costs 200 platinum to do it though, so you need to be certain it's what you want to be called for the foreseeable future.

I looked at the thing, it doesnt even tell me i can change it. Do I need to have the 200 plat first?

PC user only can change name.

so wait, if pc users can only change their name, what would happen when i change my gamertag?

You should contact support in regards to name change on XB1. 

As you can tell, most of us don't know the limitations that console players have.

I don't know on xbox. In PS4 the ID ingame is linked or associated to PSN account. we can't change our PSN ID, you can change the email but the nickname is the same always.

ex: 

my nickname is AleDiorio and my email is alejandrodiorio@xxxx.com, i can change my email to diorioar@xxx.com but AleDiorio is always the same.

That's how it is on Xbox, the ign is the same as the gamertag.

I was just really hoping i could change my gamertag and have it change my ign, because I'm tired of using this gamertag and because what i was going to switch it to fits my names every where else.
