Aviator on Titania

So I have Aviator slotted in Titania's Exilus slot (that sounds very dirty now that I read it) because I figured she can actually fly and remain airborne for a practically infinite amount of time so more damage reduction while up there (on top of her innate dodge) would be good, but I can't tell if it works. Does anyone know if it actually works that way or am I wasting a slot.

It at least didn't use to work while in AW mode but they might have fixed that.

But 20% damage reduction isn't much. She won't live much (if any) longer with that anyway.

Shame, should probably go to the wiki to see if it works that way. 

Figured it would be a fun flavor thing (and taking four fifths the normal damage you would take is nice, especially when it is already reduced).

EDIT: Speaking of the Wiki, seems to say the same thing. Sad, because that's the only reason I would ever use it.
