LazerusKI Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) not if they are AP. put serration, split chamber and even more AP in it, and you will never have problems. just see the ap AP as a damage that is always there, most of the time even stronger because of vulnerabilitys. Electrical damage is not always there, with the latest change it will deal atleast 100% to the enemy, if the higher level scaling is there, it will be gone after a certain point. Vandaltron 125 AP Base +160% Serration = 325 Base AP 60% Piercing =195 AP = 520 AP 90% Split = 468 AP =988 AP Lanka 200 Ele. Base +160% Serration = 520 Base Ele 60% Piercing = 312 AP = 520 Ele, 312 AP 90% Split = 468 Ele, 280 AP =988 Ele, 592 AP so, in theory lanka is stronger. but as i said, Lanka needs to charge, Ele Damage is only good against one type of enemy, and maybe Ele damage still scales down with higher enemy level. AP = Good against nearly Everything Electric = Good against Corpus Lanka = Charge Snipetron = Spam see the difference? If you are already rank 7, you're probably looking for a challenge since the game will have none to offer you by that point anyway. Even if the gun were terrible (and I doubt it is), its going to be more fun than most weapons just because it's different. Maybe its fun for HIM, but its not fun for the rest. We had a...i think wave 35 run a while ago. Two Snipers. Me (Vauban) with Dread, and the other guy with Frost Prime and Lanka. His lanka was realy cool, i wanted it so bad, it looked so awesome! oneshot most of the enemys with a plasmabolt...but at the end...my result was still better. more damage, more kills...because i could hit more enemys in a shorter time. now do it wih Lanka :) Lanka can onehit things, but the DPS...are crap. big problem of nearly all the sniper weapons. Virilitas Posted July 9, 2013 Share Posted July 9, 2013 You should have read the Wiki. It does only electric damage(relagating it to only good vs corpus) which is it's main flaw. But otherwise if you want to play warframe like a Team Fortress 2 sniper but only against Corpus... it seems pretty effective because of the high damage and clip size. It usually takes a moment or so to acquire a sniping target so the charge time is not really a huge detriment; but its a very limited use weapon for a very high crafting price.
