Max range

Question

Got a quick question, noone in game seems to know the answer. Does skills have "unlimited" range? as in the range that shows on the skill is the range it is? not like it was before when there were a hardcap on 50m. Example nekros desecrate, does it reach 62,5m with 250% range? And trinitys EV can be cast on enemies 250m away with 250% range, and restores energy to everyone within 62,5m of the target

If I remember correctly the cap of 50m was actually to do with targeting mechanics.  Powers that don't need a target lock will keep going to their full distance but something like Switch Teleport that needs you to aim at a target needed to be within 50m for the enemy to register as being the target.  Not sure if that still applies or not but Desecrate should get it's full range as it doesn't need target lock.  Energy Vampire may still have a 50m targeting restriction on selecting the enemy but the radial energy restore should get it's full range.

Having looked at the Wiki it would seem the old targeting range issue has been fixed as Energy Vampire has a base range further than 50m and apparently Power Range does affect it.

It would be difficult but not impossible to test.  I've not noticed any limits on range with abilities that don't specify range though so some abilities can be cast with an unlimited range.  Hydroid's abilities have no target range and can be cast quite a ways away despite having the ability range very small keeping the effect range limited.

Other than your examples have you run into any specific situations that sparked this query or are you just curious in general.
