Kashim_TW Posted December 6, 2016 Share Posted December 6, 2016 [ Killing Blow ] : increases the channeling damage of a melee weapon by 20% per rank, at a maximum of 120% at rank 5 my melee weapon's channeling damage is 1.5x , MOD(Killing Blow rank 5 ) installed after the channeling damage is 2.1 Killing Blow Rank 5 : channeling damage of a melee weapon by 120% EX: y = melee weapon's channeling damage is 1.5x z = Killing Blow rank 5 channeling damage of a melee weapon by 120% melee weapon install mod (Killing Blow rank 5) => y + y * z = 1.5 + 1.5 * 120% = 1.5 + 1.8 = 3.3 This calculation of injury magnification method is correct? If I calculate it is correct , why melee weapon's channeling damage is 2.1x in the game ? If I am wrong, can analyze let me know how the MOD installed after channeling damage is calculated . thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 Lindsrhyl Posted December 6, 2016 Share Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) It boosts the multiplier. More specifically the bonus. Your bonus is 0.5 (in 1.5) so +120% will make it 0.5+(1.2*0.5)= 0.5+0.6 = 1.1 so your total modifier is 1 + 1.1 = 2.1 Edited December 6, 2016 by Lindsrhyl Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 NinjaZeku Posted December 6, 2016 Share Posted December 6, 2016 It's really the Channeling Damage bonus that's getting increased. At a base of 1.5x Channeling Damage, the bonus is 0.5, so you add 0.5 x 1.2 = 0.6 to the 1.5 for a total of 2.1 ... yep it's not great :P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Channeling attacks deal 1.5x damage. So, that 0.5x increase is the Channeling Damage that's being added to the regular damage, and thus it's what's being used in the calculations instead of the whole thing. If it helps, imagine the UI stat being a +50% instead of a 1.5x, with Killing Blow only affecting that +50% multiplier. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 Lindsrhyl Posted December 7, 2016 Share Posted December 7, 2016 Pretty much what upper neighbor said. In a way, that's a logic you can already see in your UI. Look at the skill multipliers : duration, efficiency, range, strength... they all start at 100% and adding bonus stats will make them go at 100+. Think about it as base multiplier of 1 plus a bonus of zero. Excepted in this system the mods give an additional (vs multiplicative) bonus. Question
Kashim_TW
[ Killing Blow ] : increases the channeling damage of a melee weapon by 20% per rank, at a maximum of 120% at rank 5
my melee weapon's channeling damage is 1.5x , MOD(Killing Blow rank 5 ) installed after the channeling damage is 2.1
Killing Blow Rank 5 : channeling damage of a melee weapon by 120%
EX:
y = melee weapon's channeling damage is 1.5x
z = Killing Blow rank 5 channeling damage of a melee weapon by 120%
melee weapon install mod (Killing Blow rank 5) => y + y * z = 1.5 + 1.5 * 120% = 1.5 + 1.8 = 3.3
This calculation of injury magnification method is correct?
If I calculate it is correct , why melee weapon's channeling damage is 2.1x in the game ?
If I am wrong, can analyze let me know how the MOD installed after channeling damage is calculated .
thanks
