Excavation am I missing something?

I know that giving a power cell to an extractor restores its shields, but apart from that, is there any benefit to overfilling the excavator? I didn't think there was, but I'm quite often paired with MR7+ players who keep filling up the excavator when it's in no danger and has less than a second of runtime left. Why? Is there something I'm missing?

not missing anything is ee that alot even after telling them its got enough power its nothing to do with shields its power for it ...

It's them who are missing something. They are just wasting power cells that could be used for the next extractor.

Thanks. It was happening so often I thought I had to have got something wrong or I was going mad. Not as bad as the people that use the 30% life support things when we've still got 95% left though...

Another thing might be lotus keeps talking and blocking the life status of the excavators, hence players just refill to be safe.

It probably doesn't account for the number of players who do this but I will occasionally pick up a cell to have it in hand for later and just get too close without meaning to.

be happy they at least know how to pick up and send it to excavator

 

rather than they with their low mod / low rank stuff go melee and keep dying.

 

it doesnt affect your drop

it jsut keep recharging the shield and the excavator power.

 

regarding is a waste or not.

-> is not a total waste. you still need to def the excavator for 95 secs.

-> within 95 secs, you will surely see at least 5 - 6 energy carrier.

Oh it's bad when they do it but, it's worst when you realize that they may be doing it on purpose, i mean 20 waves telling them don't do it and they're like why? And your like .
