Name: Azathoth

Health: 150

Shield: 75

Armor: 90

Energy: 150

Speed: .90

Passive:

If his health is full, each kill brings Azathoth closer to his original power; increasing his size, weapon damage, and giving him temporary health above the usual maximum. Once his normal health (the points he begins the mission with) decreases he will shrink to normal size and lose these buffs. This passive has a counter that gets reset with every kill, if it runs out then Azathoth will depower.

Abilities:

Dark Devourer – (50 Energy) Uses the power of the void to draw the life force from his enemies. Deals 200/300/400/500 to a single enemy, if they are killed by this damage Azathoth heals 3%/6%/9%/12% of total damage dealt (does not contribute to above maximum health the passive gives) and gains a buff depending on the enemy type.

                                Corpus: Increase shield by 5%/10%/15%/20%

                                Grineer: Increase armor 5%/10%/15%/20%

                                Infested: Increase speed 5%/10%/15%/20%

Crawling Chaos – [Toggle] (25 Energy, 2.5 per second, additional 5 Energy when phasing through enemy) Azathoth becomes an amorphous cloud of void energy, his resistance to damage increases, his size is reduced by half, his speed is increased, and he is able to cling to walls and ceilings. He is also able to go through enemies, when this is done they are stunned for 7/10/12/15 seconds and Azathoth heals 3%/5%/8%/10% of total health (does not contribute to the above maximum health the passive gives). If an enemy does not see this transformation or has not been stunned by it, they do not attack Azathoth in this form nor are they alarmed by it. Enemies affected by All-In-One also turn into a void cloud for the duration. He cannot cause damage in this form except by Nuclear Chaos.

All-In-One – (75 Energy) Creates 1/2/3/4 void tentacles that latch onto nearby enemies. Damage received while this skill is active is partially transferred to those connected to Azathoth. Damage transferred is 20%/30%/40%/50%. While the tentacles are latched onto them, enemies lose all sense of self and only follow Azathoth. These enemies can instantly be devoured by Dark Devourer by holding down the 1 key (otherwise they are unaffected by it), regardless of their current health. All have to die before this can be used again.

Nuclear Chaos – (100 Energy) Creates a small orb of pure void energy, with each enemy it kills the orb increases in size as it slowly travels around. Lasts for 10/15/20/30 seconds, deals 200/300/400/500 damage with a 10% increase with each kill. Can affect multiple enemies at once. If Azathoth is close to the orb and activates Crawling Chaos he will be able to directly control it.

Quest (Post War Within):

Spoiler

Stronger than normal Infested with strange powers have begun showing up throughout the solar system. While investigating the source of their increased power, the Lotus picks up a strange signal coming from the edge of the solar system, in a dark and thought to be empty section of space. The signal sounds like a cacophony of drums and flutes playing a horrid song. Believing them to be connected, the Lotus sends us to the coordinates, which reveal to be an Orokin Derelict.

She proceeds to have us perform recon and notices as the music’s volume and pace directly affect the Infested within the Derelict, when louder the Infested grow bigger, when the pace is faster the Infested get faster. The Tenno’s Warframe also reacts strangely to the music. She figures out the way to stop the Infested from gaining this boost is to destroy the source of the music. Upon locating numerous terminals that are controlling the music we are sent to neutralize them. Each terminal is actually powered by a piece of a Warframe, so instead of destroying them we retrieve the parts. Further exploration of the Derelict reveals massive claw marks, massive holes where something large forced its way through, and other signs of a massive beast tearing its way through.

Upon deactivation, the terminals release a log from a dying Dax soldier. Apparently he and some other Dax were assigned to a group of researchers on a hidden Orokin ship, far from the eyes of the Sentients. These researchers were trying to build a war beast for the Tenno to use, a Warframe of titanic size and power called Azathoth. However, no Tenno could put in enough void energy to complete Transference, it was just too big and required too much power. Ballas threatened to stop the project and reassign the researchers to lesser positions, but decided to give them one last chance and left them with a single Tenno.

Desperate for results the researchers push the Tenno more and more, torturing him in an attempt to make him release more void energy. Eventually the torture breaks the Tenno and he releases more void energy than was thought possible, however he also completely loses his sanity. Filled with void energy but without a Tenno controlling it, Azathoth goes on a rampage through the ship (destroying most of the life support systems and tearing holes in the hull) and kills all but a few of the researchers before the Dax could intervene.

After a long and difficult battle with numerous casualties, the Dax finally manage to defeat the rampaging monster. The remaining Dax have all received major wounds, but only a few are in critical condition. They are given minor treatment, but the researchers are more concerned about their Warframe than the Dax. Under the direction of the surviving researchers the remaining Dax disassemble the Warframe and place its parts in special machines throughout the ship. These machines are specially designed to drain void energy from Warframes.

Before these machines could be activated, an enraged Ballas orders the remaining researchers to leave the totaled ship. The Dax that weren’t in critical condition were also commanded to leave so they could be punished for letting so many of their charges die. Those that were dying were commanded to remain on the ship where they would slowly die. The Dax making the log was one of those critically injured in the fight against Azathoth and used the last of his strength to make the recording as a warning.

The Lotus deduces that the Infested somehow managed to turn on the machines, releasing the void energy into the ship where they can absorb the released energy, the music being heard is actually the machines draining void energy from the disassembled Azathoth and releasing it through cracks in the containment device. She also notes that the prolonged draining had an odd side effect, it reduced the size of Azathoth to that of an average Warframe. With the source of the empowered Infested, and with a powerful new Warframe in our arsenal, the Lotus declares the mission a success though she does wonder how the Infested managed to activate all the void draining machines.
