THE HELMINTH CURE

 

By now, a majority of Tenno have been faced with a persistent and protruding infection on numerous Warframes. For those with a fully 7-day matured Helminth Cyst, the cure awaits you in the Helminth Infirmary. The completion of Glast Gambit is not required to have your Helminth Cyst removed, and once the cure has been administered, that Warframe will not be granted access back into the room and can no longer be infected. Keep in mind that breeding a Helminth Charger requires a mature Helminth Cyst to be drained- the choice is yours!

Does this include Nidus? I don't want to cure Nidus if it means I can't get back into that room. I think it looks cool with the Fish floating around and all...

You can go back in as Nidus.  I just did it and I can still go into the room fine.

Can Nidus even be infected in the first place? If he can't, then he can be cured either

Nidus can literally infect him self that's where the cyst came from...but I assume this is a joke question

Since he could in the first place, it wasn't because of the infection that he was allowed in the room. So it's safe.

I know that, but regardless I think i'll keep it on my nidus just in case

FYI, read in another thread that your cyst has to be mature before your non-Nidus WF will be allowed into the room.

Getting reports from some clanmates of mine that their warframes are not growing cysts even after "infection" occurs in a dojo. [confirmed visual and audo effects, but no cyst even after 2 daily resets] Does the cure only affect that one frame, or ALL frames?

Only the cured frame is immune. Its Not a 100% Chance to get a cyst.

I accidentally cured nidus of the cyst before I could make a helminth charger.  Does this mean I can't reinfect him and try again?

Nidus is now immune. But you Can infect any other frame on people with the cyst to make your charger.

This is why I've kept a regular old Rhino and had my friend infect him. Now, he's just my cyst repository: Anytime I want a Helminth, I'll just put him on, drain the cyst and boom, done. Meanwhile, my immune Rhino Prime is good to go.

Warframe can be re-infected again in future because Helminth and virus is part something bigger, which is not full revealed yet

I recommend not curing Nidus. Is the only frame which looks fitting with a fully grown cist and the easiest to infect. Maybe DE should make Nidus able to get re infected since he is meant to be part of the infestation.
