IMO, every Frame has something interesting to offer (plus reworks happen),
I've never sold a Frame without having the Prime ready to use.
Also, you don't want to sell Quest reward Frames as currently those Quests aren't replayable.

[That said, not a whole lot of people are going to cry tears of joy seeing e.g. a Limbo lol.]

For weapons, ignoring Conclave, when something has a special (Prime or whatever) variant,
or at the very least loses the MK-1 prefix, that's generally going to be a better choice.

However, for regular ones / those that have different variants to choose from,
I haven't seen anything like a complete, detailed list of what weapons are better than others and why,
maybe take a look in the Feedback -> Weapons section and see what weapons supposedly need nerfs :P

Or, you know, craft everything and see what type of weapon works best for you,
then ask others (e.g. right here) for recommendations in that area.

Just because though, some up-to-Mastery Rank 2 suggestions:

Karak (decent upgrade to Braton, has a Wraith version so don't invest too heavily into it)
Kohm (nice early crowd shredder that's easily good enough to eventually take into Sorties)
Dread (relatively common Stalker drop, crit beast for when you feel like one-shotting everything)
Braton Prime (if you have like 20-30 [non-Starter] Plat to spend or want an early Prime farming goal, solid weapon)

Akmagnus (crit & status in a stylish gunslinger package)
Lex Prime (see Braton Prime)
Sonicor (AoE damage, status, ragdoll CC, yay)

Orthos Prime (dat OP [get it?] range is just the best, again see Braton - and the Wiki - for acquisition)
or ... yeah dunno, that's kind of my absolute favorite right there, aside from some Heavy Blade action now and then, heh.
A lot of Melee weapons are pretty similar (lol all those 35-or-so damage numbers),
it's usually crit-viable stuff (Blood Rush woo) that shines among those, so e.g. Atterax might be worth trying.
