Syndicate Reputation Capped Till Next Offering?

So my current REP is maxed out to 99K until my next offering; are my REP points gonna just stop there and all the extra excess REP points just gonna disappear or do they roll over to the next Rank?

I currently don't have the 500K creds to offer up but at the same time if the REP points arn't gonna go towards the next rank then i would rather burn the 99K rep points than let the extra REP points go to waste

They're going to disappear, just keep buying some Relic Packs until you gather all the resources required to rank up, then take your time to max the rep to do so.

get 1-2 augment until u collect credits.. sell mods u dont need and do some dark sectors to speed up for next rank

yeah they just 'stop' on increases, even if you've unlocked the level which is rather annoying, and you waste any extra rep.  On the way down they automatically downgrade but for some unknown reason the dev's decided that we need to manually upgrade EVERY time they go up. 

I can kind of understand it for the first time, but after that not so much.

Mind you I think I'd prefer syndicates to be done slightly differently, I'd rather have syndicate points that I can spread wherever I want them rather than the points being syndicate specific, in a way more like focus schools and their sections inside each school.
