What is this, what is it used for? There is nothing in the patch notes, or PC announcements regarding this that I can find./ Why wasn't this announced with the Patch? I re-read the last few patch notes and announcements and I can't find this anywhere until I saw it as an alert? Apparently is was mentioned in a prime time or something but this game shouldn't come with mandatory homework. Announcements like this should be made in patch notes when it is released.

It literally was in the patch notes.  There is an anchor that leads to a separate thread with a more detailed summary for the event, which can be found here.

patch notes not event rules. for anyone not doing the event, seeing an alert pop up for something you have no idea what it is for is disconcerting. Is it like nintain? who knows? that's the point. If you are not doing the event, or not doing it yet (i'll get to the event on monday... ) and decided not to read the event rules since you aren't doing it, you have no idea what this is. even if it is event specific, if it is seen outside of the event it should be a line item in the patch notes, for everyone, since everyone can see the alerts for it.
