Omni ammo boxes

So whats up with omni ammo boxes? They're pretty much completely useless and not worth being purchasable with plat at all. Can anyone come up with a good arguement as to why they even exist in the first place, considering all you need are 2 ammo boxes for the two guns you can only carry?

If you load up any ammo maximum mods, the other ammo boxes don't fill you to your new max. The omni description supposedly will. I don't know anyone that would try it though because that is a massive expense to buy something that you can get for much cheaper a different way.

I have a feeling that there was a plan for swapping weapons at one point, but that got cut. Unfortunately, they didn't cut the omni box for some weird reason.

Agreed, if it's going to cost plat, it should have multiuse.

Omni Ammo Box is a test item, deadsure. No one buys it, DE knows that it won't be something to concentrate on for future additions to the cash shop. Same for avatar image packs, etc.

... but that's wrong. They do fill up 100% of your max.

i still don't buy it even the cost is just 2 platinum.
