I'm still trying to do rounds once a week, but for the foreseeable future the actual day is going to vary because of reasons.  Contests will still be on the weekends on my YouTube Channel.

Ground Rules:

  • Rounds are on Wednesdays
    • Everyone gets one, if I can.
    • If I've done a request for you then please wait two weeks before requesting another.
    • If I'm backlogged then I may not get to yours for a few rounds.
    • If you have a list then I'm only going to go through the top 3, so please try to narrow it down.
  • No "extended" music links, please, just the original one time through is much easier to work with.
  • If you have a particular section of the song in mind then make sure you mention it.
  • Please don't PM me with requests.  Just leave it on the thread and I'll get to it when I can. 
  • "Can you do anything from ______?"  You're going to have to narrow it down to specific songs for me.  I don't have omniscient knowledge of all music, yet.
  • I don't really take Shawzin requests; not enough time and something had to give.

  • Bombast Percussion -> Gamma Percussion
  • Bombast Bass -> Beta Bass
  • Bombast Melody -> Epsilon for slow melodies, gamma for fast ones

Im not asking for all 3 to be done, these are just some parts of the video i like. it doesnt have to be one of thoese 3 either it can be any part of the song!!

All good songs, can't do any of them.  Thanks for the third one, though, I like to bang out the chords from the chorus when I'm bored and I'd forgotten song it was from.

I can't decide is great. Generally what makes a song not possible to do/what should i look for in a song for it to be possible.

Generally there's no easy criteria I can give you.  At this point I can just listen to something and tell pretty quickly, it's like a flavor.

I have a handful of videos going through the process step by step, but for starters here's Bobby McFerrin pulling the pentatonic scale out of a non-musical audience:

If a song has at least 8 seconds of melody that sounds like that, then it might be doable.
