I'm still trying to do rounds once a week, but for the foreseeable future the actual day is going to vary because of reasons.  Contests will still be on the weekends on my YouTube Channel.

  • Everyone gets one, if I can.
  • If I've done a request for you then please wait two weeks before requesting another.
  • If I'm backlogged then I may not get to yours for a few rounds.
  • If you have a list then I'm only going to go through the top 3, so please try to narrow it down.
• No "extended" music links, please, just the original one time through is much easier to work with.
• If you have a particular section of the song in mind then make sure you mention it.
• Please don't PM me with requests.  Just leave it on the thread and I'll get to it when I can. 
• "Can you do anything from ______?"  You're going to have to narrow it down to specific songs for me.  I don't have omniscient knowledge of all music, yet.
• I don't really take Shawzin requests; not enough time and something had to give.

A: You don't, not until Octavia returns with the Prime Vault.  In the meantime, substitute these:

• Bombast Percussion -> Gamma Percussion
• Bombast Bass -> Beta Bass
• Bombast Melody -> Epsilon for slow melodies, gamma for fast ones

I'd like to see if you'd be able to create the chorus from the song: Big Sad by Balancing The Different.

I attempted to recreate the beat myself. However, I unfortunately don't have the ear needed to deconstruct the song instrumentally.

Since you're the main Mandachord guy, what do you think of the Mandachord in its current state?

Do you feel it's too limited, and would you want to see more featured added, or the music capabilities expanded upon?

I think it's fine. At the end of the day, it's a very small part of a very large video game. It's not going to be Pro Tools. The fact that it's a legit musical instrument at all is far more than we had any right to expect from something primarily concerned with space ninjas.

The limitations mean it's pretty easy for anybody to make something that sounds kind of sort of okay, and also that multiple Octavias play well with each other more often than not. If you think troll Octavias are bad, it could have been oh so much worse.

That being said, if they were to do one thing then I would ask for a sixth tone above the other five. Adding the high D would give Octavia an actual full octave, and vastly increase the number of songs I can do.
